Where is the home located? For any professional to bid on this project, you will require a hazardous materials assessment that will list all materials and the risk levels involved. If anyone provides you with a quote prior to seeing the building and the hazardous materials assessment, I would be very Leary.

James

Hi Sandy;

if the house contains asbestos it will need an asbestos abatement company to come in first. To remove asbestos minimum is 5K. Once it is removed then the demo can beginning ie. stip windows, remove drywall, doors etc.. Its not simple as it once was. So minimum is 20k to start. Get the asbestos test first.

Have the asbestos test done first and it's just around $100 then you are able to get a proper price for your job. However you have to hire a special company in case you find any hazard materials and that would be an extra cost
