Can I hop on weekends. Short answer yes but it will have to do with four to send your electrical contractor for the shutdown in terms of power during your swap. You could always get a generator.

If the meter is involved which is the usual, typically not as city is supposed to disconnect it. If just interior panel then a electrician who works weekends can do it but will bill you extra.

Hello Raj

I agree with what has been posted. It can be done, but in most cases it would be less expensive to sacrifice a days wages then it would be to pay the outrageous fees to the local utility and potentially to the ESA (if the LEC is not have enough inspection to be hi rated RBO and be pre-authorized for reconnection).

In addition, like a company like mine, while we offer 24/7 service, that typically does not mean we would schedule a routine task such as a panel change / service upgrade on a weekend, that time is generally reserved for emergency work. If it was routine work, you can still expect to pay a premium for that schedule of work.

I would guess you are looking at about $5000 to $6000 to gate a panel change done on a weekend.

Cheers
