It is safer to install ceramic tiles (and not laminated hardwood) in a basement?

From flooding/moisture perspective.

Thanks

I would really look into glue down Vinyl plank. Less expensive than ceramic, feels warmer too and will hold up in most flood type scenarios. Even tile mortar if fully drenched can lose strength.

Hi,

We every time install the vinyl plank, because warmer and more comfortable with ceramic tile..

But if you like some really nice one you can install the ceramic.. up to you...

Look at vinyl plank as well as cork backed laminate flooring sometimes no need to glue down to concrete floor.

The preferred floor if you are wanting to achieve extra warmth along with moisture control is to DRI- Core the floor then install your click/floating laminate floor.
