What is the best way to change the colour of these dark kitchen cabinets into a more modern look of cloud white for example?

One way is to have a local kitchen company come and remove all existing doors/panels, etc and have them all refinished. To be done correctly they will all have to be sanded down and primed before any final top coats. It's a time consuming, costly project but if done correctly, will really give you the look you're after. Some of the finishing might have to be done on site (crown moulding, bases, panels inwhich can't be removed).

Another option is to reface the kitchen with new doors/panels/crown/etc. This gives you the chance to pick a new style for your doors if you're looking for a change besides just colour.

Hope this helps!

Hi Gloria,

looking to the picture I think its a Thermo foil doors and accessories with a dark color. So choice is limited.

To paint a Thermo foiled doors and accessories its not possible. So in that case you have a choice of replacing the doors, spindles, back panel, and all finish sides. Now in that case you have to do the edge band as well if you are looking for white color.

So what is left over is the boxes and slides.

It would be better if you can sell the existing kitchen as is and do it a brand new would be more ideal. You will almost spend 70% or more compared to a new kitchen and still have OLD stuff.

Hope that helps.
