Moving a 200AMP Electric Panel

We are currently looking at a house, with no basement, where the electric panel has been placed in the kitchen above the stove which makes it impossible to install a range hood. We are looking to find a rough estimate to move it to a safer and less awkward location.

I don't have a lot of information other than what I have written and am literally just looking for estimates.

Electrical panel relocates can be costly. There are so many issues, only a licensed Electrical contractor registered with the ESA can help you wish this one.

Pretty tough situation. Disconnect/Reconnect will be required and many junction boxes to extend branch wiring to the new panel location. The 200amp feed wires will also need to be relocated. Would need to see it to give an accurate price but a guess would be $5000 to $6000.

The issue in here is not just the panel . You neeed to move the panle and reroot all the feeds .

I agree that this is a big job. Is it possible to flip the panel to the other side of the wall? While this will still be a labour intensive job, it would be easier the finding a totally new location.

Finding a new location means not only dealing with the main wires and conduit, but all the branch circuit wiring also; not sure how that would have ever passed an inspection, which leads one to think that there likely will be other issues to deal with.
