Renovating on a Budget: seeking creative kitchen ideas! How can I incorporate portable appliances and reusable items to create a budget-friendly kitchen makeover?

A kitchen will cost what it cost depending on space and your choices but for some ideas to keep it cheap here are a few:
-do not change current layout or light locations
-buy IKEA (good quality and pretty much same stuff the high end shops sell anyway)
-laminate counters
-I do not recommend reusing existing sink or taps/risers/waste but if in exc. cond. you could
-unless its is bad cond. keep existing
flooring
-no tile backsplash, get one on counter & just paint the area
*only way to keep it around $10k-15K...most kitchens run $25-60K
