Hello - I want to have a solid glass backsplash in a contemporary kitchen.
Anyone have any idea of an "artsy" someone who might work with sheets of glass who could cut, sandblast etc.?
Hi Pat. Did you try looking at places like ordinary glazing businesses near at hand? Some of them will do splashbacks too if you give them your specifications. If you could get the right size and thickness there, you might try your local college's Arts Department after that for additional decorative touches. They may well know who to steer you towards that could etch it or paint it for you.
Your local community centre might be able to tell you of any arts and crafts groups too, or even the glazing company might. It doesn't do any harm to ask.
Tile companies & some of my wholesale Bath/ Kitchen compaies work with people who do this type of work. My Brother is a glazier & he always knows people who are doing this type of work. Sandblasting you can go to glass company they will know someone or may have someone. Colleen , Skystone Decorating
