Our tub was refinished Thurs June 5th. We were not asked to leave. My daughter and I have been sick and at doctors due to chemical agravation in our noses, chests and lungs - requiring puffers. We have no windows or fans in the bathroom. This is the only vent fan that is not connected.

Generally speaking the vapors from the enamel finishing should dissipate within a few hours. Vacating is not really necessary. It seems to me the air quality issues you are experiencing go beyond just the tub refinishing. That exhaust fan really needs to be connected asap.
