Hi.

It is hard to say exact price, because depends on accessibility, siding material, height of structure and ...

But starts around $50k.

if we can get permit for double garage, I would go with double, because first , it doesn't mean that costs will be doubled; second , it adds up to value of your house, third, you have more space .
