Hello,
I am planning on changing the layout of the old kitchen in my parents condo.
For this, I am looking into moving the stove and the fridge around which would require repositioning some of the electrical outlets.
My main concern is around the stove, about wether or not it would be feasible to move the 240v outlet. Regarding the fridge, would it require its own circuit?
I have attached some photos showing where I intend to move each appliance.
Im in Edmonton.
Always hire a lic. electrician to move a line like that, you will risk liability and your ins. can be voided if not. Most electricians cost from $80/hr. + all materials. If you are in a condo you have to get permission from the board as well to make any infrastructure changes. Expect at least a 1 day charge-out + materials. If your condo has gypcrete floors or poor access, it will be major work and possible not allowed by board. Yes a fridge and stove must have their own dedicated circuits, same with a microwave and dishwasher.
