Hi there!

I live in a 5 and a half apartment with unfinished basement. My electrical wiring is not up to date it is knob and tubing. I wanted to know how much it would cost to get my apartment rewired properly.

If you live in an apartment, it is up to the owner to state if the wiring can be changed or not.

Apartments are much more complicated and risky as insurance companies and landlords will need to be involved.

Normally stand alone bungalows with open basements and attics can be redone for $4000-$8000.

If you have consent by everyone involved, you can do this without too much trouble. Are you currently experiencing problems?

Hope this helps some.

Hello Michelle;

Saverio from Alive Electrical Services Inc.

You need too add more info in order for any electrical contractor to give give you a price eg. how many plugs are in the unit, lights, switches, whats the size of the electrical panel. Things like this will help in getting a proper price point.

Thank you
