I have a washroom in the basement which has been completely cleaned now. Vanity, toilet, shower all removed and also the drywall removed. Size is 73"x108" height 91".I would like to completely tile the room, floor, ceiling and walls. on one side I would like to make a steam shower roughly (48"+25")x48". 25" [25"+48"=73"] is for a vertical structure, at the bottom of it, will be place for the steam generator and above it a cabinet with access to both from out side the room. I need to know what should be a reasonable cost for tiling the entire room + structure.
thanks
Hi Ilyas,
I think a little more detail is required...
Tiling usually means installing a proper waterproof tile backing. Is this to be done by the owner? Tiler?
Also, does structure include wall framing? At least backframing where required and areas where plumb is required for a flat surface? There are several ways to make a bathroom water tight!!! I think specifying a preferred membrane / technique / system would help. MOST important process!
