What is the cost to build basement suite?

Cost to finish a 900 sq ft basement suite in Edmonton - 2 bedroom with bath and kitchen, 2nd furnace and stacked laundry. Separate entrance, plumbing for bath and kitchen roughed in by builder. Finished to the average builder standard.
Got quotes from 34 dollars to 50 dollars. Please advise.
Option 2. Builder finishes basement with rough in electrical for kitchen appliances, then I put in a kitchen and second furnace for the suite after possession.
Please advise on these two options and their costs.

Personally I would go with someone in the middle to higher end. It's a little tricky to say who is giving you the best price, its like asking a car dealer for a nice 4 door reliable car.
Well they will range from $28,000 to $60,000 a big difference but its all about options and quality of the options and the ability you feel each contractor or builder can bring to the table and the only way to figure that out is by doing your home work on them and doing comparisons. Not all materials are equal, frankly none are and you need to find out exactly what you are getting for your money and then do a fair comparison.
