We are residents of Burlington. Our old house had a small basement inlaw suite that we removed and discarded down to the bare walls. We would like to start anew and need someone to frame, drywall, and maybe paint. This space will be open concept with one bathroom and large closet. Thanks for your consideration and hope to hear back from you soon.
We need to have a wall in our basement re-drywalled as it had to be taken down to expose seeping through the foundation. The crack has now been fixed and we would like the wall fixed. I have attached a photo which gives you a very good idea of what needs to be done. We are located in North Burlington.
Thanks,
Adam
We are in the process of a DIY renovation that includes a full demolition and rebuild of 2 adjacent bathrooms, a master bedroom closet area, and the ceiling of a basement area. All the framing, insulation, plumbing, draining and electrical work is complete and rough-in inspections by the City of Burlington and the Electrical Safety Authority have been approved. Drywall has already been hung on the ceilings and walls (30 4x8 sheets, 10 4x10 sheets), and we would now like to hire professional services to tape, mud and sand the drywall joints. The total affected area is roughly 1420 square feet, as follows
- Main Bathroom: 9’ x 12’’, walls and ceiling, 444 ft
- Master Ensuite Bathroom: 9’ x 5’, walls and ceiling, 269 ft
- Master Closet Area: 9’ x 8’, walls and ceiling, 344 ft
- Hall Closet: 1’ x 5’, walls and ceiling, 101 ft
- Dining Room Wall: 4’ x 4’ wall patch, 16 ft
- Basement Area Walls: 2 walls, 48 ft
- Basement Area Ceiling: 18’ x 11’, ceiling, 198 ft
We recently had a mouse input drop ceiling. It is old 12x12 interlocking ceiling. Would like to have it removed (carefully...has left over droppings in it) then replaced with larger, more modern, easier to access and clean tiles for any future needs. We will be renovating entire basement in the future but only want the walls dealt with now. Work may not happen until winter or new year as we are already committed to a new flooring renovation in November.
Size - 430sq feet two areas separated by cross beam
I am renting out a 1 Bedroom condo unit in Burlington for August 1st. The center wall in the suite (livingroom / master bedroom wall) with the central AC / Heating unit is seeping up a significant amount of cigarette smoke from the unit below into my suite. I require at least a partial removal of some of the drywall in the wall to seal with foam or similar any openings that allow air-flow through the floor from the unit below. This would likely be along the cogeco cable line, telephone line, or the AC / heating pipes that supply the cooling unit in the wall. (similar to the Climetic vertical AC unit here...click here )
Ideally I would like to have the work done, re-drywall and paint the wall, and then have the carpet cleaned prior to August 1st.
We need a basement room drywalled taped and mudded. We have the drywall, but need you to provide a couple of corner beads, the screws and the mud. We could complete the work, but are looking to outsource to save some time. Its a quick job. Pretty much rectangular room with only one bulkhead.
Looking to have our family room dry-walled, which currently has painted wood paneling in place.
The size of the room is 22'5" x 11'2", with two doorways on one long wall and a brick fireplace on the other. There is a large window on one of the short walls. Please see photos.
Possession date of the home is May 9 and work needs to be complete by May 27 so please don't offer to quote if work can't be done by that deadline.
Thank you :)
General contractor looking for a good taper, successful completion fo this job will lead to many more.
600 square foot basement, approximately 50 sheets, need supply and install pricing to finish only, basement will be boarded and ready to go. Approximately 130 lineal feet of outside corners. Professional finishers only please. Please respond for more details. Job is in the Burlington area, Burloak and Rebecca.
Looking for a reliable contractor to finish/tape/plaster drywal, including ceilings,l in a 20'x25'x8' area. Have removed 2 walls and made the area into an open concept dining/kitchen/living room. Drywall is already installed, just looking for help with finishing now. This is part of a full house reno, so there will be significantly more work in a couple months for a good, reliable contractor.
Drywall and tape work, some minor framing. We'll also need some drywall done going up the stairs. Detached house about 50 yrs old, we own. It's a side split, not sure the size of the basement, sorry.
Install back-splash in kitchen. Install railing for new stairs. We have the rails we just need them cut and installed.
I would like to put up some more drywall in my basement, the ceiling and a couple more walls (smaller area for these but need framing for this smaller area then drywall) also down part of the stairs where the last person didn't complete. Also the mudding and taping of existing drywall and the new being put in.
After removing the wallpaper in our master bedroom, we noticed that the walls were a mess. Very bumpy and uneven. We did some major patching ourselves, but more work is required. We want the walls as smooth as possible before we paint. Three walls are concrete (exterior and in between the units). We're not sure what type of drywall is on top of the concrete, gyprock perhaps.
We have multiple (4) holes cut in our ceiling in various locations around our house to deal with frozen (though never burst) water pipes this past winter.
We would like to get these holes repaired, as well as renovating our basement laundry room to allow proper insulation to prevent frozen pipes in the future.
We are renovating our basement to add an apartment. We have put up the drywall and are looking for a contractor to do the taping, mudding, and sanding.
We only used 7 sheets of drywall, but a lot of it is piecework and will require some finesse - so if you can do magic with mud we need you!
We are looking to have this project done as soon as possible, so the sooner you can start the work the better.
Thank you for reading our ad and we look forward to hearing from you.
I'm looking for an itemized estimate for the below topics. Please refer to the "framing description PDF" file to see the floor plans to see exactly what is being done.
Framing & Drywall
Basement:
Create an 11’ opening in load bearing wall downstairs.
Box in LVL beam with drywall
There is a door going into the basement bedroom that must be filled in. There is paneling on that wall that must be removed and drywall added. This wall only needs 1 coat of mud because it will have cabinets and a backsplash that cover it.
A new door to the basement bedroom need to be made through the load bearing wall
A closet needs to be built for the basement bedroom
The basement washroom needs to be expanded outward and a new door added
A Coat closet needs to be built
Ceilings throughout the basement need to be drywalled
A closet needs to be built for an apartment-sized stacked washer / dryer.
There is a wall that is 8 inches from the concrete wall (which separates the two semi-detached units). This wall needs to be removed and a new wall built flush against the concrete.
Box around the HVAC in the basement
Upstairs:
An 8’10” opening needs to be made in a load bearing wall (above this wall is the attic).
If a beam was needed for the above opening (e.g. if the trusses are not full span) then box in the beam with drywall
The walls of a broom closet must be removed
Patch the ceiling where the walls of the broom closet were removed
A fire-resistant door must be added to separate the two units
A doorway in the back of the kitchen must be filled in
A closet should be built in the kitchen to house an apartment sized stackable washer/dryer

We have a 22' x 11' room in our basement that needs to be framed, drywalled, taped and plastered.

We're hoping to complete this project within the next few weeks.
Looking for an estimate for the following work in a garage (18x19):
Floor:
- repair cracks in concrete floor
- paint floor with rust-oleom epoxyshield concrete floor paint (add flakes)
Walls:
- repair & patch drywall damage

Would like it estimate broken out for floor vs. walls in case I decide to do the floor only.
Thanks
Our livingroom ceiling is currently stucco that's been painted over. We think the best option would be to just install new drywall over the stucco. The space is approx 350 sq ft. We'd like to know the price to install drywall, tape, mud and sand.
Expection: smooth ceiling with no waves or imperfections.
Thank you for taking the time to provide a quote.
Hi, we just had mold removed from our two bedrooms. It was discovered minor and all is gone. The problem is the wall had poor insulation and very thin drywall.
Was hoping to get a quote on removing the two walls and upgrade insulation and install a vapour barrier.
Please post or message on how much it would be for materials and labor. We have kept the tarp wall up as we want this done ASAP.
