We live in the Hamilton area and are planning on enlarging our back yard. Currently we have a back alley wall where we park our two cars but our planning on building half of that space with a simple overhang car port with concrete bed and enclosing the whole area with a new brick wall and expanding our backyard to fill the area where the other car spot was in place. Currently we have a wooden fence separating our backyard and the car parking spots and back alleyway. Interested in individuals with experience in masonry and garage and concrete construction.
Thanks so much.

I am a personal trainer and have property that my house is on that is 75ft x200ft. I would like to build a garage that is insulated, heated and has air conditioned that will function as a gym on my property. I would like it to be roughly 18ftx20ft (or so) with a garage door and windows on each side and hydro. I am looking at vinyl siding and a 4inch cement pad to be poured. Any help would be appreciated!
Want to build a car port attached to the house starting midway down the house and extending apprx 15 feet past the house. I have a 46 year old brick bungalow. I Dont think I will be able to follow the roof line of the house. Driveway needs to be done at a later date. I would like to have the frame built on a cement or block foundation to come up a foot or two above ground level and then build the car port on top of that.
I am looking to get a carport attached to the side of my house. Not sure if i want it to be from the existing roofline, or attached to the vertical wall of the house and just below the soffit. The rear of the carport is where the existing fence to the backyard is, the front would be open. I would like the option of closing in the side, depending on cost.
Just looking to have a garage built for my son in Hamilton (woodward & rennie). I have no idea as to pricing. Minimum 2 car requirements; electrical, concrete floor, studs and pitched roof vs heated insulated and block walls...lot is 30 ft wide. Can this be done before Oct.2017?
Thanks,
Bill
We are looking for someone to complete the construction of a 14x20 ft garage. Slab is poured. Four walls are built but not erected. Engineered drawings provided. Will not be wired.
Have to relocate for work so need someone who can complete the job by middle to late October at latest. All materials on site except engineered trusses (arriving week of Sept 28) and shingles, which we can provide.
I am looking to get a 14ft x 30ft long garage, with the following: 9ft wide garage door, 1 out-swinging side door c/w security hinges, 1 or 2 windows, roofing to be shingles or steel, siding to match (almond board and batten) or compliment house, electrical rough-in, concrete pad floor.
I am looking for a contractor to build a L shaped garage that I have started constructing. The site is excavated and most of the gravel is in. I need one more full load of gravel after forming is put in for concrete floor. The drawing have passed at the city and I have a permit out in my name. I have truss specs as well. I would like to work with someone to help finish this project for next year hopefully starting in the spring.
I need to demolish a current old garage and build a new one. I have the Motor and the garage door but need everything else.
Length and width is 16'x24'. 2x6 framing throughout. 8' height and the roof ends at 12'.
Please advise pricing and timing for project. Will reuse existing foundation.
I'm looking to build a garage and possibly an addition to a 1970s raised ranch on the Hamilton West Mountain. It would be approximately 13 x 21, attached at the foyer with inside entry, and I need to know 3 quotes:
1) Building a garage ready for an addition above.
2) Building a garage with 2 bedrooms above.
3) Building a garage with a master bedroom with ensuite above.
Please let me know if you are interested, thanks.
Hello. I am looking to have an old 12x24 garage torn down and a new one rebuilt. There needs to be a new pad poured too, as the one existing is in bad shape.
There is electrical already going to the garage, but most likely will need to be updated. The line will also have to be properly buried from the house.
This garage will serve as an artist studio, so I am looking to have it totally insulated (not the spray foam stuff) with drywall and if possible, would love to have wood panel ceilings to add some character, with one half of the garage having an open platform space, to give option for storage. I would like the roof raised a bit higher so that it has a more open feel. It is also going to need a heating and cooling unit.
I would like a garage door with the small windows up top to help with lighting, patio french doors on the other 12ft side leading out to my backyard, and those horizontal, more narrow windows going across one the 24ft sides - about 8 feet in length.
We own home in Hamilton and have wooden garage that Is in rough shape. We want to have it taken down and new garage built. We are looking to get estimate. We are both off tomorrow(Friday ) and are wondering if anyone could come to take a look. My phone is American area code. Please call.
Thanks
Tim
I am looking to get a garage constructed. Not attached to the house. Will need a cement platform/slab constructed and a single car garage built. Wood construction with vinyl siding. I am the owner of the property.
Aprox measurement of garage to be 12' x 20'
I need a ballpark figure for financing purposes.
I am looking to have a garage built in my back yard. We have an alley-way entrance and a fence but it's a big pain in the but to dig out the cars. We need a 2 car garage. The area is pretty level as it is, but we are planning to dig up the entire yard and pave it so the paving will already be done. It doesn't matter if it has one or two garage doors (whatever is cheaper) but it will need a person door at the back of the garage so we don't have to walk around it. The size would be approx 20 feet wide x 15 feet long...height doesn't really matter as long as the cars will fit. Please contact me if you need to take a look in order to quote.
Thanks!
14'x17' with concreat base 10' height flat roof with deck to be put on at a later date supports required, wooden siding , car doorway 9'x7', man doorway 36'x8o", approval ha been done with the city of hamilton application # hm/a-17:405 address 42 guise street hamilton ont. I would like to either tare down or repair my existing garage. The house originally had a carport that was inclosed. Interior blocking has cracked and shifted majorly on the back wall. Right side of the garage floor looks like it sunk. I believe this was built in the late 80's. They extended a small portion of the roof that is flat. Roof looks like it's sagging a bit because of everything settling over the passed 40 years. I want my roof finished as well, confused as where to start. Seems more complicating then it probably is. Open to suggestions and would like to get an experts opinion on the order of operations and possible options.
I need a garage built in my backyard, approximate size is 14 x 24. I would like it to be wood with vinyl siding and a shingled roof. It needs to have electricity with a side door and window. There is a bell line in the back corner of the yard. There is a large tree in our neighbours yard that has roots on our side of the property.
I am looking for a quote on constructing a garage or storage area for my boat (17ft), bbq, snow blower, lawnmower etc. I am undecided if I want this to be wood or metal construction or even insulated. My concern is just protective storage from the elements (snow, rain, ice, etc.) I want a main entrance and a side door entrance. This structure will be in my backyard, currently backyard just has grass.
I need a garage built. 16'w x 26'l. the ground would need to be escavated as there is a hill at the back of ther yard and a weeping bed would also be required for water drainage. A concrete pad possibly a retaining wall. The garage would have a metal man door and an insulated steel door 9x7. I would like it to be wood framed ontop of a course of 8" cement block. 25 year shingles and vinyl siding. 12" over hang to eves edge. Easy access to build.
I am looking for a new garage to replace the exsisting one. I am looking for a 12x20-12x24, possibly going to 14 wide. Concrete pad, vinyl siding, 1 man door, no windows, at this point, but 2 windows framed in for later use. 1 overhead 8x7 door left of centre to accept the man door. There is currently 240 electrical going to the the exsisting building and wish to keep it as such. This project is in the Hamilton, Gage Park area.
