Scope(standard 5 foot niche with window): install new Steele tub; new tub drain assembly; install new wallboard (about half of tub surround needed); tile tub surround from tub to ceiling with marble window encasement and sill. The area will be ready with old tub removed and walls framed.
We have a small powder room which we wanted to redesign. We don't want to move anything, just want to update it. We are thinking about new floors and vanity and possibly putting backsplash on one wall.
I have added a picture of what it looks like now and 2 general ideas of what we were hoping for.
Thanks!
Refresh 9'8" X 7'7" bathroom, some project highlights:
1) Install new vinyl laminate floor.
2) install bathroom fan.( none currently)
3) Replace Jacuzzi tub, faucet and shower.
4) Install new double sink vanity and faucets.
5) Tile tub surround.
6) Paint/trim/lighting.
We have a leak in our kitchen ceiling I believe coming from our upstairs bathroom. We would like to have the leak repaired and the ceiling replaced. It is a textured ceiling, if the design can not be matched, we will consider replacing the entire kitchen ceiling (maybe 10'x10').
Thanks.
We own a tri plex....apt. #1 toilet seal was leaking & damaged part of floor ...Need to pull toilet like to get a new one...remove damed floor & replace then ceramic tile the complete bathroom floor area.
I was also thinking of replacing not so good looking tub. Need fairly fast ..New tenant wants in*
We have a finished basement bathroom with a corner unit shower (round @ 36").
The shower needs to be replaced with a new one. The wall behind the shower is tiled, however since the shower has a corner seat the tile does not go all the way down, therefore the tile wall needs to be replaced also.
The floor in the bathroom is tiled, however it's not tiled under the shower, so the new shower base must be the same size as the existing base.
Also, the current shower leaked and caused damage to the the drywall and trim on one side of the shower. That drywall and trim has been removed and the studs are now dry - the drywall removed and the trim in the entire bathroom needs to be replaced.
Pictures attached at time of damage - the shower enclosure, the damaged drywall and trim were removed. The enclosure was re-installed, but still leaks.
Hello, I would like to convert my standard tub into a walk in shower with a glass door. My tiles around the walls are in excellent condition and I would like to keep them if possible and just add some additional tiles to the bottom where the tub used to be. I can send pictures if needed.
Thank you!
I’m looking to have the Maxx Utile shower kit installed in my en-suite. Old corner shower will be removed. This kit installs directly to studs. Drywall will need to be cut and drain will need to be moved 6-12” from current spot. Rectangle kit replacing a corner kit. New full body shower faucet will also need to be installed. Job is roughly 6 hours. Picture of new shower attached.
I currently have a shower base installed and 2 framed and waterboared walls. The fixtures have been roughed in. I require a shorter 3rd wall put in at the small end of rectangular base, probably about 2.5-3 ft tall. I also requires someone to tile all shower walls.
I will supply tiles.
I will have materials available, I require someone to build small shelf wall at end of base, and tile the interior of the shower.
This is a new home, I am working towards a glass shower which my builder refused to have someone come in and do.
The shower has been torn down the point where it's time to call in the big guns! Custom built stone shower. Two walls have been removed to accommodate for glass.
Jobs remaining:
- Installation of shower lip
- Glass shower door and panel installation
- Minor retiling
- installation of new shower head (already puchased but easy to change)
More of the frame has been removed then shown in the photo... but it's a good start.
The measurements of the photo represent our idea of the sizes of the glass door and panel.
Hi I am looking for a quote for a shower repair. I have a approx 7x4 ft shower (glass/tile(outside wall & floor) shower. There was a small leak in the shower. I had someone come in to assess the situation, they determined that it was not an issue with the plumbing but the shower basin itself. I am looking for a repair of the shower basin and a reinstallation of tile. I have photos if that helps.
We are looking to have our current walk in shower removed and a new one installed. New tile, door and surround installed and the removal and disposal of the old one. Shower is 30" wide by 40" deep by 84" tall. Budget is a little flexible depending on material and tile choice of course. Looking to have completed ASAP up to a maximum of the next 3 months.
My wife & I inherited our bungalow from my parents who are now deceased, it was built around 1963 & the bathroom on the main level has never been renovated so is in desperate need of tlc, the toilet is falling apart & we can not use the bath or shower because the tiles fall off the wall, plus everything is purple which my wife is not happy with (very old fashioned lol) we would like some help & suggestions as to what we can do on a limited budget.
Thanks
Steve
Hi,
I have budgeted $8,500 to $12,500 for this small bathroom renovation project.
Current basement bathroom dimensions: 5' 4" W * 3' 11" L.
I'd like to expand to ~9' W * 3' 11" L because I want to add a shower booth.
Summary of upgrades/changes =
• Replace vanity (sink, cabinet and light - plumbing and electrical is already installed)
• Flooring (probably luxury vinyl plank)
• Wood panelling replaced with drywall
• Add a corner shower booth (~36" W * ~36" L * ~80" H)
Special considerations:
Please see photos for the area that the bathroom will expand into. This area currently contains a laundry tub, dryer vent tubing, and ABS pipe (3" diameter and 1.5" diameter).
The job is to frame and install a Maax Utile Shower Stall 32" x 48" The shower alcove to have a back wall and two side walls, pan and glass doors.
Utile showers are installed directly onto the studs.
The shower kit will be purchased by home owner, contractor to provide studs for framing and any other materials required for the install.
Hi!
We have a big project that we would like to get done. We have a century home in Kitchener and we would like to renovate basically the entire top floor.
This includes: a 4-piece bathroom+laundry room, 3-piece en suite, staircase, foyer, with flooring and ceilings throughout.
We are looking for someone experienced who can help us keep a historical aesthetic with some modern updates.
My partner and I have purchased a house (closing November 1st) on Scenic Wood Cres, Kitchener. We are ideally trying to find a contractor to complete the work between November and January). We would like to turn one of the four bedrooms into an en-suite and walk-in closet. There is a 2-piece bathroom and garage directly below the bedroom, with a bulk-head in the main floor hallway that could be extended for plumbing. I'm attaching three diagrams and pictures of the current room and desired finishing’s. The first is the current top-floor layout, second is the proposed design, and the third shows the space below the room.
The quote shouldn’t include the bathroom storage cabinet or the closets, nor does it include the flooring in the closet. I'll be taking up the current laminate flooring prior to the work and installing it in the closet once complete, as we will be redoing all the laminate flooring in the house with hardwood when we redo the kitchen in about 3-5 years. For the closet we will need to include water, drain, and floor drain for a washer, and electric and venting for the dryer.
The en-suite and shower floor will be tile, and were looking at including heated flooring (depending on cost). The shower will be frameless fixed glass on two sides.
There will need to be washroom venting in or outside of the toilet room and ideally near the shower. LED pot lights throughout the en-suite and closet. Three pendant lights for the vanity.
Currently installed in bathroom is a standard shower/tub liner setup. I would like to remove this and in its place have a tiled walk in shower complete with glass door. Also will include a shelf in built into the shower wall.
I am the property owner and as indicated this will be a couple of months away looking for budgetary quotations. Once we get closer to spring a site visit can be arranged to work out the details and firm up an estimate.
Add a washroom in the main floor, shower stall, toilet and vanity.
I am cancelling a closet and a laundry to achieve the project.
I am the owner,
Need someone that be able to open the wall from the closet to the laundry room, and also create a new wall to enclosed it.
Open a wall to connect the existing washroom to the master bedroom.
