House is ten years old. I need to remove concrete and old stairs about 50 sq ft area and rebuild new stairs with flagstone. New are about 100 sq feet. I need to add lighting and three pedestals and one quarter circle half wall connected to two of the pedestals 36 inches high, Stairs will have railing 3 feet high about 6-8 sq feet. On the pr h I need to remove and replace existing post 8 feet high and railing about five feet long. Also I need to build archway on two sides of my porch. Total width of archways is six feet. Hight is 12 feet with opening at eight feet. Each side needs to be less than 1 foot.
I need someone that can quickly come in and auger 2 - 10" wide x 4' deep holes, insert 10" tube, fill in with cement and add post bracket/anchoring device in my backyard. I will be building the rest of the deck myself but would like to make sure this part is done correctly. Need straight holes and bracket.
This is a corner unit house with a standard side gate that should accommodate any equipment needed for this project.
This should be a simple and quick job for someone with the right tools and experience.
Please provide a rough estimate and timeline.

I really need my front porch done as the concrete is starting to wear and the wood is starting to rot. I estimate the porch to be about 70 square feet (definitely under 100 sq ft.). I have never been a fan of the railings on the porch as they just get in the way of me removing snow from it during the winter. I figure my budget for this project would be about $5000 and am basically looking for the nicest project I can get for that amount of money.
We (us and our neighbour) are looking to replace the iron balcony railings, erected since the 1970s. The new railings would need to be rust-proof, durable, and affordable. They would also offer the same semi-privacy of the old railings. Preferably, the project would be started in the next couple of weeks and done by the end of the month.
Please contact us if this is your area of expertise.
Budget is between $6500 and $8000.
1. Removal and disposal of old deck (everything). Won’t be reusing anything.
2. Create all new footings (each dug 4 feet deep and 12 inches wide). Number of footings will be 12
3. Build a new 21’x18’ one level deck with steel baluster railings like the picture below.
4. All support beams used will be 2x10 and NOT 2x4.
5. New deck will include 5 sides of railings with black steel square spindles/balusters.
6. New deck will have custom steps as shown in picture (placement of steps to be decided by customer, Paul Barretto).
7. New deck to include wood side skirting around entire deck.
8. New deck will have new wooden window well built around basement window with cover.
9. Deck will have opening for existing garden hose.
10. Deck will be built using Sienna brown pressure treated wood.
11. Deck boards will be 5/4-inch x 6-inch x 12 ft.
12. Downspout extension from under deck under the grass to the back tree.
12. Build New garage wood stairs with wood railing at an angle to allow easier entry.
13. Deck warranty for at least 5 years.
Looking to replace my existing deck that is 280sq ft, and build onto it with another 300sq ft Deck. Deck would be an L Shape that wraps around my house.
- existing deck is 3ft off the ground, and would require a railing
- new deck would only be 16 inches off the ground - no railing required
- looking to understand the price difference between Pressure Treated vs PVC/Composite.
Thanks
***Please provide a rough quote/price range in any emails***
***If you would like to schedule an estimate, please propose a time. I am available any evening except Wednesday***
I am looking for estimates on a deck to be installed as soon as possible. Details are as follows:
Size: 16' wide, 12' deep
Height: The deck is very close to the ground, so only one step that wraps around the deck will be required.
6-8 posts will be required for the job
Materials: Either all pressure treated wood, or pressure treated foundation and cedar decking
I would like to have the project completed by the end of April.
Please note that I will require references for similar work in the past, and would appreciate it if you came prepared to propose a plan and quote.
Good morning everyone looking to get a new deck built in the back yard of my house. We would need something around 12 x 33‘ pressure-treated lumber and I would remove the old deck and footings and dispose of them. We would also like to add a bench with storage space and privacy walls as well thanks have a great day.
- backyard deck
- elevated (walkout basement exists beneath deck)
- either pressure treated or composite
- roughly 12' * 35' rectangular
- railing and balusters should not obstruct too much of view (wooded area)
- closed riser steps
- ~ 30' of Pressure Treated Fencing
I dont have a porch on my main entrance door. Also, the cold room is in front of the main door, covered with the concrete floor, which is exposed outside.
This makes rainwater to fall on my entrance door, creating possibility for water leaking through the gap between concrete floor and the wall. Hence the need for new porch. The height of porch ceiling will be approximately 18 ft, with the porch area of approximately 7 X 6 ft.
My home is 14 years old.
We have a large deck in very good condition with the exception of a few rotting spots due to water from downspouts. We would like it restored to it's original look by having someone replace a few boards, re-sand, stain and seal (and tighten all screws). It is estimated to be 30 feet long and 6 feet deep. with seating benches all along one side. Picture to be forwarded to those interested and who provide a "guesstimate". Please also include how long a project like this would take.
Three weeks ago we had hired a contractor under the name of Rego Constructions to just lay the flats and the railings all around the deck, the initial sub structure was already built by another contractor.
Rego constructions initially requested part payment after having finished 3/4 of the project followed by the balance in full with the quarter of the work still un done, my honest wife paid him the balance and now demanding for additional $$$ to complete the remainder of the job.
Suggest your expert advise as how to go about and persuade him to complete this project before snow start coming down with no extra payment.
I have a signed contract in the payment made to him for $ 2700.
We have 2 large (front door) and 2 small columns (balcony) outside that have wood panel rotting. Looking to replace them with a fiberglass decor and a fresher look.
The balcony has a railing as well which needs replacing as well.
(Attached picture shows part of the long, short and railing).
Looking to get my railing replaced with a vinyl railing. We are looking for a professional job and a reasonable rate. Budget, honesty and a quality job are all important.
We'd like this job done ASAP
approximate measurements 47in x 80in x 26in (on the down-slope)
(looking for bent spindles such asclick here )
We look forward to hearing from you.
- we want one large or two small patio's coming off the rear of our house, each covering a sliding door.
- previous materials have been removed, a deck and large patio stones. 200 square feet has foundation material which might be re-usable.
- additional landscaping recommendations would be welcome as a separate project, such as privacy fences and seating area's.
Looking for a Patio deck
- 17' x 10'
- P.T. wood ( brown preferably)
- need posts 6"x 6" ( the height of the deck from ground is approx 8')
- Railing on stairs ( metal or cheaper)
- disposal of existing small deck & 2 posts supporting it)
Attached a picture of the existing deck
My outermost porch post is rotten from the bottom up. That one needs to be replaced and I would like to replace the other two posts at this time as well, even though there is nothing wrong with them. I would prefer to use a more durable rot-resistant material that won't need replacing any time in the forseeable future. I would also like to replace the porch railing with something more durable than the wood that is currently there, such as cast iron or likely a cheaper yet durable material. It's difficult to say if the porch post is structural or strictly decorative. I've been told many contractors do not deal with structural projects for liability and/or insurance reasons. Please only express interest in bidding on this project if you have experience in structural porch post replacement. I will definitely be in touch with anyone who can give me some idea of cost as well as offer proof of recent work.
