Project is to tear down existing porch which is 6.5ft X 4.5 ft
-re-build porch in poured concrete with footings
-porch dimensions 8ft deep X 31 ft length X 2ft off the ground with railings
-10ft high ceiling at the wall of the house proper pitched roof with shingles
-need stairs 5 ft wide approx 4 in total
-interlocking brick walkway 14ft X 5ft ( pattern to be determined)
-approx. 4 potlights, and one large light
The outline of our renovation is as follows.
1 ) Use the existing structural deck frame with some modifications.
2 ) Renew deck boards and short roof covering a part of the deck. The contractor to decide the best way of supporting this roof by looking into the ideas which are prepared plus the contractor's idea.
3 ) Install new hand railings (wood)
4 ) Install side covers(wood) at bottom of the deck to close (all around)
5 ) All wood materials are to be pressure treated and stained.
Since there are various things to be done including the deck frame modifications, determination of the short roof support, and other things, I have prepared "scope of work"and a sketch. I would like to send them these information for their preview via an
e-mail.
The existing deck on our property is more than 20 years old and has seen better days. Although the deck floor seems stable, the main problem appears to be the deteriorating railings. I would like a quote for repairing whatever is necessary, one for replacing the deck entirely and a third quote for the cost to remove the deck entirely and replace it with a patio. The current deck size is 23' 2" x 16' 6". A picture is attached and the budget is flexible.
If repairing the deck (assuming the floor is still structurally sound), we will want the cost to remove the existing paint/stain and resealing it for protection, replacing the railings with a more modern option, and some ideas for shade.
If replacing the deck, we are open to a redesign (even making it a bit smaller), and including ideas for shade. All deck materials should be as maintenance-free as possible.
We would also like to know what is involved in removing the deck entirely and replacing it with a patio and including some ideas for shade.
Rectangular 14' x 22' deck with one set of stairs. Want railing on two sides (approx. 36' total) plus handrail down the stairs. Railing can be vertical wire topped with wood or horizontal metal bars topped with wood.
Pressure treated (brown) material to be used.
Current deck is 12 x 22 so small enlargement. Willing to consider removing current deck myself so please quote with and without removal.
The house is 8 years old and the balcony and front porch/steps guardrail and handrails are rotting out. We would like to replace the railings with vynal rails. The balcony is approximately 6x6 ft and the front porch is roughly the same plus the steps. I'm currently looking for online estimates and would like the job to be done before the end of 2009.
The existing deck is quite old and needs replacing. It is in a townhouse condo complex.
We will need it to be pressure treated. Please see attachment for size. The old deck will be removed by myself as the AC unit needs to be moved so that will be taken care of before the job starts. Current steps are outside the deck and new steps will be inset.
My porch enclosure was built about seven years ago and is about 50s/f. The flooring is wood with ceramic tiles on top; the plywood under the tiles is roting and need to be replaced. I need an estimate as to how much it will cost and how long it will take to take out the the tiles and plywood floor and replace with new one.
Property in Port Credit requires a porch replacement, covered wood structure, aprox 35 ' x 5' L shaped, deck, stairs, railings - looking to maintain same design, require paint for all surfaces once complete. Estimate needs to be submitted no later that April 17, 2012.
My 2-story house is already at max footprint for the lot so the only option for a deck or sunroom is on the roof of my garage. It's a double with a peak roof, no interior ceiling, just trusses. Do I need engineer's drawings? Looking for a ballpark price and timeframe, start to finish.
Contractor will need to come and have a look to properly quote.
Sloped area, needs safey railing.
Please make sure your quote includes cleanup of work areas and proper disposal of all refuse as per City of Mississauga Code.
Contractor must have proof of current insurance, WSIB and WHMIS certificates where applicable.
***pics included - and 2 pics of a sample of what we are interested in
***one planter box is urgent so need quote ASAP
THIS IS CO-OPERATIVE HOUSING AND WE NEED 3 BIDS TO VOTE ON AND FUNDS ARE NOT AVAILABLERIGHT NOW - MAYBE IN THE SPRING
**note if your quote/bid is not typed with all the specifications, we will either return to you for correction or dismiss and move on to other contractors.
I am looking for someone who can tear down my current "deck" and rebuild a new one as my current one is not level and is quite a sight for sore eyes!! The deck is currently about 4'x6' with three steps. I would like it to be rebuilt approximately the same size as I live in a townhouse and space is at a premium in my patio. I would like my deck to be built using the "Stiles Railing System" found at Home Depot. Essentially it's like building IKEA furniture in that all the pieces are sold seperately and you buy what you need and put it together. You can see the system I am talking about at www.stiles123.com.
If you are able to complete this project I am interested in hearing from you. I am looking to have the deck rebuilt within the next 6 weeks.
Thank you,
Sue
Hello. Three prospective projects involving old, rotting wood: Small back deck roughly 10' square; two-sided balcony railing (above garage); very small two-steps front porch. Deck may be salvageable; others need replacing. Requesting quote for each as well as in combination, please.
I have a condominum townhouse with a backyard (16' x 20'). Currently there is interlocking stones with a wood frame. I would like the existing patio removed and a new stone patio installed covering the entire backyard. The backyard is fenced. I would like this patio completed as soon as possible.
We need your services to do footings for a deck including dig down to a depth of four feet, supply and install sonotubes, fill them with our concrete (bell bottom) trowel the tops and install brackets.
2. 8 Inch Hole
3 12 Inch Hole
Deck at the back of the house, side of new garage.
Please see drawing attached.
I am seeking a quote for the installation of 8 picnic style tables on the rooftop patio of one of our customers. The round four-seat tables and their respective umbrellas must be immovably fixed to the concrete surface of the patio. Each table weighs approximately 300 pounds and will be made of either metal or HDPE (TBD). This is a quote for an institutional customer (health facility) in Greater Toronto.
We built a small deck around our inground pool (10 x 20) last year but we want to improve it and connect it with our old deck which is attached to our house. We believe it is a reasonably small project (probably 3-4 days max) and we would like to spend no more than $1,000-1,500 (we already have most parts needed to do the job).. It's probably ideal for someone who lives in our area and has a few days before another job (our "regular" handyman is too busy these days to do the job). It will also be easier to describe in person exactly what we have in mind.
