I have a very small yard, approximately 14' w x 24' l. I would like to either put a wood deck or patio stones leaving enough space around the perimeter to plant trees and shrubs (3 feet on all three sides) If I choose a wood deck, I would like it to be about 8 inches in height. I
The yard is fenced but the only way in is through the walk out basement.
I would like this project to be completed before the end of April or at the very least the first week of May. I would prefer a solution that is cheaper (deck or patio tiles).
I will take care of all the planting so I would like a quote that includes labor and materials (either wood or patio tiles) to make the deck or patio only.
One corner of deck slightly lower. The deck posts have not dropped (floor is level between deck posts). It's just at end of one corner. Wanted see if can jack up corner and insert wood shim and/or realign the top and bottom rails horizontal again (it's a short section about 3 feet).
I am looking to get a walkout patio built. It has to measure 25 feet long by 10 feet wide. I will need railing all around -- 1 x 1 inch spindles with 2 x 4 inch handrails should do it. The deck has to be 3 feet off of the ground to be flush with the walkout from the kitchen. I need to make this happen by the end of July.
Total backyard is 28 ft wide x 33 ft long - all grass with a shed in the back and a flower bed that will stay. House is a bungalow approx. 50 years old with a raised basement (and tenants), therefore a low flat patio is necessary to not block the windows. We are looking for a patio/deck to be installed with patio stones or maybe stamped concrete? with some curves/design to it, not just a square block. It will start from the back of the house, the total width, and go to the middle of the yard, approx. 20 ft wide x 15 ft. deep. If possible, the week of May 24th would be ideal to start the project.
Thank you in advance for your estimates!
Hello,
I am planning to get a backyard patio for my semi-detached house near square one mississauga. The details are as follows:
1.The area is about 15 Feet by 15 Feet Approx.
2.I have removed the sod from the area.
3.I will dig the area myself to remove the soil to about 8inches or 10 inches i.e. Whichever you suggest
4.From thereon the contractor has to complete the job i.e.sand,gravel installation and compacting and tasks to completion.
5.The material has not been decided i.e. Bricks, stones or slabs or pavers.
Hello, I am looking to get my backyard done this year and was wondering if I could possibly get a quote on the job. My backyard is roughly 22' wide by 27' long, I am looking to have a deck built for my BBQ leading down to a larger deck for my patio furniture and small shed with grass laid on the outside.
Please feel free to email me or if you would like give me a call. Looking forward to hearing from you.
I have a second-story patio door. There used to be a balcony there, but it had to be removed. I need either a barrier placed there or a small juliet balcony. I would prefer to have railing, but if code requires a balcony to be supported from beneath, I understand that it might have to be made of wood.
The first priority is to seal off the existing opening in the exterior wall. The threshold likely needs work, some insulation likely needs to be added in the wall, then the aluminum siding should be matched as closely as possible and the exterior wall closed up. I'm very concerned about making sure it is waterproof and tight. After that, I'm guessing it should be more straightforward to add a balcony.
I am open to the idea of one contractor closing up the wall and covering it with siding, and having a different contractor build the balcony/barrier.
I understand this has to be done with a builder's permit.
I would prefer a rough estimate by e-mail first.
I have a leak in my basement that started before the Winter freeze and is worse now that it has thawed. I suspect a crack in the foundation, but am not sure. I would like to fix the leak and add a front porch enclosure to add space to the front of my house, but also to further protect that area from leaks.
I would like to replace my deck in the backyard with an addition. The deck is measured 26 feet wide and 14 feet deep. It is essentially the same width as my house. I would like to have a concrete base for the addition and it needed to be the same level as my main floor which is about 3 feet above ground level.
Our plan is to remove the wall between the kitchen/family room and the deck area where the addition will be build. Then extend the kitchen from where it is now into the new addition.
The addition will need to have a patio door to go into the backyard and would like to have lots of big windows. I don't have specific design but would like to talk to the contractor for idea and opinion. I would also like to get a rough cost of just building the extension vs taking the whole renovation which will include the kitchen and tiling
1) Chimney needs to be rebuilt from the roof up, We are looking for a good job at a fair price. (Main concerns price and good workmanship.)
2) We have a small patio with large stones (they are approximately 2 x 2.5 feet each). The patio needs releveling (assuming we can power wash these stones ourselves) as it was probably laid down about 25 years ago, and some of the stones are sinking. Patio is 8 by 5 stones.
Want to build a classic looking covered front porch which fits the age of the house. House built in 1947 and has basically the original front stoop with a more modern but dated looking railing. Looking for something with strong chunky pillars, painted floors and railings, side stair entry to front door and second stairway for ramp off side of house for ease of entry to backyard. Need direction on what is required in way of permits, drawings. Would like to accept quotes from companies who have done similar projects preferably with pictures or portfolio or work.
I have a prospective customer with a large deck which he would like to alter by cutting 8' off of it to gain more lawn area. It would have to be cut with a new standard wood railing installed.
I need someone who can have a look to see what is necessary for the alteration such as new posts and provide a quote for the work to me.
The project is at Eglinton Ave and Mississauga Road
Hello, we need some holes dug and filled with concrete for a new deck and fence. We will be installing the deck and fence ourselves, so the project is just the post holes, posts and saddles for the deck and fence, 35 post holes in total. The quote would be for labor and concrete costs, we will already have the 4x4 posts and saddles.
Looking to put in deck and patio in background. Want a composite deck, with circular stone sitting area. See attached photo for more specifics. The circular stone patio with backing is something we really want. If you can't do that part, then don't bother bidding. Ready to do this. Just need the right contractor.
I am looking at building a deck and sunroom in either 2 phases (deck this year and sunroom next) or together depending on the time frame and quote. I have a basic sketch ready and have quotes for the sunroom materials but not yet the deck materials. I need someone that can obtain all permints (I am in Mississauga, Ontario), complete the design work and build. Also looking for you to provide feedback on our design work and come out to our site to take a look.
Sunroom will be approximately 15x15sq feet (not completely square or 90 degree angles in all spots), outside of sunroom on 2 sides will have about 3-4 ft deck, approximately 1 set of 2 steps and 1 set of 3-4 steps, deck will be about 3 feet off the ground on one side and 1-2 feet off the ground at it's lowest point. Will require built in benches on about 10 feet of the deck perimeter.
Looking to commence project in next 4-5 weeks.

We need a backyard deck design and build with associated landscaping. Project includes converting window off the dining room to sliding doors and designing a 2 level deck that will likely run the length of this 1960 bungalow. Deck design will need to include a hot tub in the upper level. Approximate deck size: upper level 16x16, lower level (which could be a combination of wood and stone or similar) 20x12.
current deck exists as a walk out. We want to build a staircase and have a deck at ground level. We need a quote on the building of the deck and staircase. We can get the existing deck removed if it is not to be included in your quote. There is a layer of gravel there already with no grass on it - not sure if it is level.
