I have an attached single car garage currently. It measures approximately 12' x 24'. I am looking to extend the garage 17' to add a work shop. Therefore its new measurements would be 12' x 41'.
Also, I am looking to put a second floor addition onto of the new enlarged garage. This space would consist of 2 bedrooms and a linen closet. It's access would be by connecting the existing upstairs hallway through an opening in the exterior wall, requiring no structural changes to the original house other than the opening.
The exterior will be covered in asphalt shingles on the roof, and vinyl siding on the exterior walls. The original garage walls left standing will be left in their current brick finish.
Please include the cost of installing 2 windows however not the cost of purchase of the windows.
I intend to do insulation, wiring, HVAC, drywall, flooring, trim and paint myself. I am looking to keep costs reasonable so I am willing to take on whatever tasks I am capable of.
Basically I need a weatherproof shell of my addition and then I can take over finishing the interior.
We are looking to begin construction as soon as permits are approved.
I look forward to receiving your quote.
Thank you!
I would like to do a home addition to my existing single family home.
I checked with the City of Pickering and I am in compliance with the by-laws for the sets back and lot coverage. I plan to add around 250 sq.ft the ground floor and 450 sq.ft on the second floor ( partially on top of the garage). Basically it's like I am adding 1 bdr apartment ( on two floors) next to my existing house. Do you have a rough idea what the construction cost for a project like this is?
Looking at renovating a 1970's cape cod style bungalow with a car port in Pickering. The house has been updated over time but we are interested in creating a finished basement of the roughly 5.5 ft. of crawl space and adding a second storey.
The bungalow is on a 50 X 100 foot lot. We are interested in building on the current footprint and making the current rooms larger by removing walls between adjoining bedrooms.
Interested in knowing what and end-to-end project might cost including:
1. Architecture plans and permits
2. Build and renovation
The home is vacant.
We’re looking to add an 18 ft. deep x 20 ft. wide room with full basement, to the rear of our house. Room will have a peaked roof that extends over a porch, a further 10 ft. from the back wall, with potential cold cellar below. 2 x 6 construction. Back (East) wall and South wall to be mostly windows, each with a sliding door. Gas fireplace. ICF Foundation.
We live in a semi-detached home, so the room will back onto approx. 10 ft. of the current back wall and extend beyond the side of the house by another 10-11 ft. (approx.). Please e-mail to discuss if this is something that is within your area of expertise.
I've attached a pic of the style of room we're looking for.
Removal of roof from existing 1100 sq. ft. bungalo, removal of concrete chimney, addition of second floor consisting of three bedroons, two washrooms, one laundry room and one utility room. Exterior finish to be stucco matched with existing stucco on lower level. Includes minor renovations to first floor to accommodate stairway to new second floor.
We would like to put an addition above our single car garage. The addition would be roughly 260 sq ft. (11ft x 24ft) We are hoping to create a bedroom as well as extend our current bathroom upstairs in this addition....so basically 2 rooms. We also would like to renovate our kitchen and install new siding around the house and redo the stairs leading to the second level. Depending on the cost of this project we would be potentially interested in adding a sun room onto the side of the house opposite the garage.
The current bathroom upstairs that we would like enlarged with the addition would be completely renovated.
We are the property owner.
