I need a flat roof installed over a new addition. The roof is 325 sq/ft over a basement addition. The roof is at ground level. There will be a deck over the roof. The roof has been framed and sheathed in 3/4" T&G. I've attached a picture of the job. The roofer I had lined up to do the job canceled on me last minute so I need this done ASAP ie. this week.
We are planning to build an addition on top of our semidetached two-story house. The project has been designed by an architect and approved by the city. We are looking for contracting the demolition of the existing roof and build up the addition's frame including the stairs connecting it second floor and roof. The inside work will be done separately.
- Frame approximately 500 sq ft addition
- Frame new roof (pre-engineered trusses) (approx half of existing structure
- Frame new cathedral ceiling (includes installing 3 posts and 2 beams approx 20ft off ground)
- Reframe existing window
Timing is approximately early-mid September start.
- All contractors must have liability insurance and WSIB coverage
- Contractor will be required to provide all required information as per MOL
Also, please let me know if you are interested in removing the existing roof. I can provide the required bins for disposal.
I need to replace the front entrance roof. It is a flat roof and about 75 inches long and 43 inches deep.
I have attached some pictures for an idea of what the house has.
A roof with shingles will be better, but it all depends on the price.
Roof that requires eavestrough also depends on price.

I am looking to get the garage renovated. That would include the roofing replaced (flat roof at this moment), extended with about 1.5 m the length of the garage and maybe replacing the roof with a concrete slab so I can have like a patio type of thing later on (adding the railing).
Hi there, I'm looking to get any insight and general quotes on the conversion of a garage peaked roof into a flat roof deck. As the current roof is peaked, I'm guessing it will need to be removed and the roof and deck added.
The property is in Toronto's Little Italy neighborhood and the garage is approximately 15 ft x 11ft.
Does anyone have any insight into whether it would be difficult to get a permit for this in this neighbourhood?
We have a small garage in our yard that needs a new roof (all of the old off, and new on, including joists), the work we know requires structural work as well and I know that this type of work needs permit. I will not hire anyone who tells me differently. We have been through many problems of this kind. I maybe be a woman but I know what the City of Toronto requires and will not go through hoops after work has begun. Please get back to me asap.
Thank you
Sandra
I have a small garage at the rear of my property in the Junction area of the west end of Toronto - detached from the house - from which I need all of the old shingles removed. They are old and crumbling, breaking into pieces in the wind and with some animal damage. The garage is 15' x 20' with a box gable roof, so approximately 330 sq. ft. I'm looking for help with the tear-off only of the old shingles.
I own a bungalow in downtown and I need to replace the evedrop all around the roof with a replacement of the hedge wood that goes with it, pontentialy install additional shingles towars the edge only to finish the job. I also need to cover the entire back of the house with siding. I need to add some concrete to the entrance in the front yard of the house as the walk way to get into the main entrance and finally to do some land scaping but that will be the last part of this project. Please contact me for some estimates and thank you for your time.
We run a property management company with over 400 properties within our group.
We have a leak coming from the roof/outside patio which is leaking into the students room from the rain fall yesterday.
The water is coming through the light fixture and we need a contractor/roofer to find out what the problem is. I will be in the area from 10AM-5PM tomorrow.
Please contact me immediately if interested and for other possible jobs in the future within that range.

My flat, third story roof is leaking at the point where it connects to my bedroom (there's a door to a walkout deck that sits on top of this flat roof). The roof is only about 8 years old, and the deck is even newer, but the weight of the deck has broken the seal. I've taken up some of the deck boards to expose the problem, and I need an estimate on fixing it. A contractor has told me that the roof is fine except for this leak, which is causing water to run through my house between the layers of brick, causing damage in various rooms. I need it fixed immediately, weather permitting.

(1) When it rains, the bathroom ceiling fan leaks. I checked in the attic and found the source of the problem - the duct venting out of the roof is leaking water. You can see a bit of sky between the duct and the roof.
(2) When locating the above problem, I noticed there is another 'space' in the attic where one can see a bit of daylight coming in. It's a smallish gap but needs to be addressed.
We are looking to have our existing roof replaced, and would also like to improve the insulation between the roof and the top floor to prevent heat loss in the winter and overheating in the summer. Here are some details about the roof and house:
- semi-detached house (neighbour recently replaced their roof prior to us moving into our home)
- roof is about 26' wide by 40 feet deep
- back half of house has a flat roof
- poor insulation between top floor and roof
- existing roof is 20+ years old
- 100+ year old house
- front porch does not need a new roof (recently redone in last 3 years)
I have also attached a picture of the front of the house, showing the aged shingles on the slanted roof.
I currently have an alluminum roof/cover over my from porch. I need a typical roof that slopes forward, as well as a peak on the slope above the entrance to my house. The front of my house is brick. I will want three pillars for it as well. The width of my porch is aprox. 15 feet and 6 deep and made of concrete
I recently had a bathroom exhaust fan that was newly installed in my bathroom. All electrical work has been completed. However it was installed and vented into the soffit and not directly outside as it should have been done in the first place. I require someone who's familiar with these installations to finish the installation and vent the fan either outside through the side of the house or up through the roof. You must be experienced with these installations having done many in the past and have proper insurance. I am looking for a quality expert installation since my first priority is quality and you must have references available.
In order to be considered for this job you MUST have the following:
1. Insurance
2. References
3. Experience
Thank-you.
Sincerely,
John,
I have a 85 year old semi- detached brick house in Toronto. I have a leak coming from the west and front side of my shingled peaked roof. I just had someone look at it and it was suggested that I not repair it, but completely remove, and add with ice and water shield, a brand new roof ... This does not include the flat roof, just the shingled peak. There appears to be a couple layers of shingles already. Some of the front of the peak had been repaired before but the back of the peak's shingles are probably at least 12 years old. I'd like some other referrals and quotes.
Building a new home from the foundation to the roof. Need quotes for poured foundations with block walls, waterproofing, a framer for the main, second floor and roof, hvac, plumbing, sprayfoam insulation, and brick/stone work for the exterior.
