I am a business owner and am coordinating a renovation of my store. Floor area is 2,600 sf and is located in Whitby close to Dundas/Thickson. I will potentially need the following work performed:
1. Laminate flooring installation - needs to be glued. Work could potentially involve removal of existing carpet and skim coating of floor to level it out.
2. Removal and/or patching of existing slat walls.
3. Painting
4. Potential installation of electrical pole for cash desk
5. Supply and install a cash desk with a stainless steel counter top. Desk to be built around the cash wrap specs that will be provided.
It would be helpful to have an onsite meeting to further discuss what will potentially be required. I'd also like to quote to be broken down by specific tasks if possible.
Thanks.
Total hardwood flooring is approximately 1000 sq/feet including a hallway with approximately 6 feet of railing.
There is a wall between the living room and the kitchen that is most likely a load bearing wall and I will like to open it up. So i would essentially like a big opening in the middle of the wall and a door at the end where the walls ends. The wall is approximately 10 - 12 feet in length and approximately 9 feet in height.
Need two half walls and one full wall removed. One of the walls is partially torn down, one wall is a support wall so a support beam will need to be installed. The other wall is a non support wall and half that wall needs to be removed. Want it to be all completely finished with drywall and trim. Looking for quotes and to start project A.S.A.P

Hello,
We are looking for a General Contractor to complete some renovations in our townhouse in Whitby before June 2017. Please see below if interested.
We are currently getting design drawings from an architectural technologist, and will be using these to guide the permit and renovation process, as well as to obtain formal quotations. If you would like to be invited to give a quote at that time, please see summary below and respond to grahamrwilson@gmail.com or mary.d.m.martin@gmail.com
In summary, we are looking to do the following (from top to bottom)
Second Floor
Expand and rearrange existing ensuite bathroom (above a garage) to add a bathtub and larger shower, including adding a window on the exterior front wall of the townhouse
Add a 2nd floor laundry room by dividing an existing walk-in closet adjacent to the upstairs hallway
Main floor
Remove an existing structural interior wall adjacent to existing kitchen and replace with a beam and/or post as necessary to allow for a kitchen island
Add additional power outlets (including outlet for oven) in kitchen
Add a pipe chase for plumbing and drainage of new 2nd floor laundry room as necessary
Relocate / expand existing plumbing drain from 2nd floor bathrooms
Add a door to garage from front hallway, in a structural wall
Add a transom window above existing front door
Some rough sketches of the work to be completed (for illustration purposes only) can be seen here:click here
Please note that we are currently awaiting design drawings from our architectural technologist. These drawings will be forwarded to interested contractors when they are completed.
We would like the contractor to complete all necessary structural work, ductwork, electrical and plumbing work, etc. as needed. We are open to considering the contractor providing interior design consulting and all necessary permit preparation services.
Please contact us if you would like to be included in the RFQ. We welcome any comments or questions you may have at this time, as we will consider these when drafting the RFQ.
Thank you,
Graham and Mary
Looking to make one bedroom larger, putting two rooms together ( a bedroom, and office area). So it would make the room about a 15 x 10, once a new walk-in closet in put in. Change entrance of room, to where the office entry is currently, and possibly adding double doors. Adding a new and bigger closet, and redoing the ceiling with drywall, and maybe adding pot lights depending on cost, and a new light fixture that I would be buying myself. Would need the room to be repainted and wallpapered, and maybe a chair rail.
5 year-old house with Open Two Story Foyer. Would like close off open space to create a second story loft (~120 sq.ft) to use as an Office and free up adjacent bedroom. Would require installation of floor, installation of electrical outlets and fixtures, as well as slight reconfiguration of existing walls to create entry into loft.
*** We've decided to not go ahead with this project as we feel that finishing our basement would be a more beneficial use of resources. Thank you for your interest in this project ***

I would like to remove the center post in my garage and turn the 2 8' doors into 1 16 or 17.5' door. Its an all brick post and garage. I believe steel will be needed for the jack posts and cross beam. There is a lentil in place, I believe its 2 pieces but not 100% sure. I have 3/4 horse lift, so this would not need to be in the price. I would like to get estimates for the entire job start to finish, but am open to just construction quotes as well if they are competitive.
I am looking to get a few free estimates before I decide who to go with.
Thanks,
Chris
We need someone to certify that the wall between the kitchen and dining room is non-load-bearing. We would like to start to plan a renovation of the kitchen, but want to be sure that we can move ahead and plan to remove the wall with no issues. We don't need drawings as we are not at that stage yet. Home is approximately 55 years old, bungalow.
