I just moved in a small "semi-detache" (2 houses together).
I would like to renovate the kitchen and add an outside entrance.
For the kitchen; I would like to have cabinets going to the ceiling- burgandy color with stainless still handles. I would love to change the layout a bit, so I would need a new counter- maybe granite. I would like to add an island.
For the lobby; I would like to add an entrance at the exterior of the house, which will hold a closet for the coats, boots, shoes... and a bench to sit.
Move kitchen area in different room.
Need to have a wall put down. Moving the home garage door on a different wall. Plumbing and electricity need to be move. Need a closet done beside the home garage door. Moving two walls that are separating the living room and dining room. The walls are 24 inches each. Installing a new door and partition to separate the hallway and the dining room.
My house was built in 1961 (in Champlain Park, Aylmer) and still has it's original kitchen. I have purchased an Ikea Kitchen and have assembled a few of the cupboards, but now realize, with a one-year-old child, we do not really have the time to install the kitchen. And, it would be best to have the work done as quickly as possible, so someone who has experience with Ikea litchens should be able to assemble and instal;l in in a few days (or so I have been told). Although I would consider doing our own kitchen demolition, I would pay to have that done as well if the price is reasonable.
The kitchen is 9x10 wth a window in the middle of one wall, and two doorways, so the cupborad installation is only taking place on 3 wall, including just the lower cabinets on the window side. We would like to move the dishwasher, but that is just a matter of getting flexible hose and running it to the current pipes/drains. No big deal. We will also need to move the "pipe" for the hood vent, but again, not a huge job other than drilling a new hole through the side of the house (it has to go higher sas not to run right through the cupboard.
I would love to get some estimates to find out what this will cost. I did speak to one Ikea contractor who said the kitchen assembly/installation alone is $50 per square foot, and kitchen demo would cost $800. I believe this can be done for less money.
I am looking for someone who refinishes kitchen cupboards and counter tops.
I am also looking for a custom made island. We are knocking down 2 or 3 walls havent decided yet, and I would like to move the cabinets and refinish them and install a wall oven. I would like to integrate the cooktop into the island aswell as storage space for a small fridge and a warming oven.
The house was built in 1971 and there are some questionable wiring issues (pretty sure someones uncle or grandpa who claimed he knew how to rewire was given free reign in the kitchen) So we are completely open to rewire the area in order to make the space work. I would like the cupboards to be shaker style they are currently white melamine but the doors need to be replaced.
I would like someone to come in and give us a quote whenever its possible.
The Kitchen is 16' 3'' x 10' 1''. I must move the 10' wall from 9 '' so that the dimension of the kitchen becomes of 17' long. I've chosen IKEA assembling cabinets that will be installed on the 10' x 1'' wall. The assembling of the cabinets will be done by IKEA, but they do not take care of electricity, plumbing, lighting, flooring, moving wall, etc.
So here is what I need to get done. Install, on the 10' wall of IKEA cabinet, the built-in oven (IKEA OBI C50 S), a range hood (Venmar Jazz VJ603 Fusion 30''), and an electric cook top (IKEA Eldig black glass ceramic). This includes electricity work as the oven and cook top required appropriate cabling.
There is also an island in the middle of the Kitchen. Again IKEA will take care of assembling the cabinets, but that's it... so I need help there too. In the island, there is plumbing to be done. There are an under-mounted double-sink with faucet, and a dishwasher to be installed. The counter top will be made in wood (Numerar Beech Thickness 1 ''). The under-mounted sink required that size. The island size is 39'' x 96 7/8''. This is not standard so I guess it will have to be glue and put together (we could discuss what are the options).
There is also other small electricity work that needs to be done (for instance electricity in the island). There is already electricity coming there from the current existing demi-wall that will be demolish, plus the installation of some lightings (2 pendants on top of the island, plus 2 recessed (or surface-mounted) lights. To be discussed.
Between the island and the wall of cabinet, there is a distance of 3 feets. I'm thinking about putting ceramic, but this still needs to be confirmed.
There will also be some triming to be done since by removing the existing semi-walls in the middle of my kitchen will required fininshing of drywall joints. I have a plan from IKEA (build from the 'Kitchen planner tool' from IKEA which provide exact measurements, and I have an Lighting and electric scheme that I can provide.
Our house will be 20 years old this coming August 2010. We are revamping our whole kitchen. Our cabinets have been chosen and are now looking to have the kitchen ready for the cabinets.
1 installation of the tiles and backsplash - with heated floors (excluding the tiles, as we still need to choose them) (220 Sq ft. of tiles to be laid) include subfloor in cost and wires for heated tiles
2 Scraping of the ceiling in the Kitchen and Dining room and painting (client colour)
3 Fixing the walls where needed and painting the kitchen and dining room
4 Installing the patio door and also providing it.
7 Removal of a small kitchen wall (3'ft wide) and repair
8 Plumbing and electricity - install new sink in island, sink, new hookup for dishwasher, up to 10 potlights in ceiling of kitchen; installation of 2 pendent lights over island, jennair downdraft system, move outlet for oven
I am looking at online pricing, however, if you contact me via email I can send you the design of the kitchen which will give you a better perspective.
Thank you!
Renovation of a space in a food court in a mall. I would prefer a contractor with experience with well known brands such as Subway, Tim Hortons, Second Cup, (or similar). Price is also a factor and therefore I will look at offers without that experience but with good quality projects in the past, and within my price range.
