We are looking to get a concrete countertop in our kitchen, as well as new flooring in our kitchen as well.
We're looking for tile/concrete as well in the kitchen. Something durable (we've got 3 dogs). The countertop right now is butcher block and the floor is some sort of laminate for Ikea.
It's a small kitchen floor. We're looking for online estimates right now.
I have an older kitchen in a condo on Ambleside Dr that I would like removed and have the living room wall cut to open to the living room. I will need the plumbing moved over so the sink is next to the DW and then have electric outlets installed accordingly.
My plan is to have the kitchen prepared so I can work on installing the cabinetry.
House was built approx. 1912.
We would like to create a main floor laundry area in the kitchen to fit larger machines (we recently moved with our machines and they don't fit down the stairs). There is an existing plumbing stack where it will go, but ducting and electrical for the dryer will be needed. the duct would run approx. 5 feet to the backyard. The machines are stacked, so it is only about 4 foot square area, but we may want to create a more space effective area to include a built in pantry and storage area as part of the kitchen.
My wife and I are looking to get a family room addition on the back of our home. We are looking at 300-350 sqft. We would like to know the pricing options between different foundation types (full vs piers). We are looking to have a small powder room added to the addition, and would like large windows at the rear.
We are also looking to get the kitchen updated and the main level (hardwood) floors re-finished.
There is currently a deck on the rear of the home which will need to be removed.
I have attached a preliminary design for the addition. (I have other file formats available: *.dxf, *.svg, *.png).
The current home is the front entrance, living room, dining room and kitchen. The kitchen layout we are not looking to change much, but the cabinets are old and we want to replace them. We are not looking to replace appliances. We are looking to open the rear wall into the new family room to have a nice open space.
We are looking to have all work wrapped up by the beginning of September, 2019.
I am looking to have an estimate of costs & timelines for the following repairs in my home:
1. Asphalt roof replacement (home is 1950s , each floor is about 1000 sqf)
2. new high efficiency furnace (for a 2700 sqf house)
3. kitchen remodel (kitchen is 11x11)
4. removal of walls and the joining of two bedrooms
5. addition of a (9x11) three piece bathroom (bath & shower, toilet, two sinks) in an existing bedroom that is adjacent a bathroom.
6. Swimming pool repair: lights burnt out, deep drainage non-functional)
20 year old house. Eat in kitchen is approx. 20ft x15ft. Wood cupboards need replacing or refurbishing. Pine colour, but seems like a harder wood. Vinyl floor replaced 8 years ago, but splitting at join. Counter tops are laminate, replaced 8 years ago. All appliances need replacing, so possibility for a bit of restructuring. Central island with sink and dishwasher. Seems too small and too far from rest of kitchen. Light fixture large and dated, would prefer pot lights. Tile needed behind counter tops.
Kitchen needs an update without being too expensive. More interested in good, solid workmanship than the latest trend. Have never particularly liked granite for counter tops. Too unforgiving. Possibility of a partial upgrade as floor and counter tops have been replaced
We've ordered a new kitchen for our home in downtown Ottawa, and now need a number of things doing in the kitchen/dining room:
- removal of old kitchen
- removal of three small (non load bearing) walls, including making good the electrical outlets that are currently in them
- refinishing ceiling
- moving water and waste pipes to new location for dishwasher
- moving the outlet for the extractor fan to a new location (only by about three feet)
- laying new hardwood flooring
- relocation of a couple of light fittings in the ceiling
- installation of new kitchen
Really want this done before Christmas if possible. Please feel free to call or email if you have questions.
Approximately 40-yr. old home with 12X11.5 kitchen. Need to remove bulkhead and remove upper cupboards. New cabinets would be installed opposite to where they are now. Fridge would be relocated across, next to new cupboards. New floor and countertops as well. New sink installed.
Bathroom - Approximately 8'X5'...(might be a bit wider$. Replace floor, bathtub (new one with jets), counter top, sink and cupboards and add a medicine chest, lighting and safety handle in shower/tub enclosed with new tiles and glass doors. Paint room minimum 2 costs.
Replace sheet vinyl flooring with tile (type to be determined) in the Kitchen, powder room and front hall.
Replace existing kitchen cabinets, counters, bathroom vanity and toilet.
Remove Fluorescent lighting in kitchen and remove the surrounding drop ceiling apply new drywall to ceiling and add new kitchen lighting (type to be determined).
Replace existing wall tile in Kitchen.
Paint and finish.
Provide and install Stainless steel range hood and dishwasher.
I require my kitchen and bathroom re-done from top to bottom. The kitchen is 15' by 8' and the bathroom 9.5' by 5'. Old tile, cupboards, damaged drywall, etc needs to be removed and new tile put down. Then I will get Ikea to design and install the kitchen. I then require you to come back and install tile, after the counters are installed. I will do the painting.
Hi,
I am looking to redo my kitchen and bathroom. I live in a condo and my kitchen is a square is in the corner of my living room blocked off by walls.
Kitchen:
1. Tear down the walls between my living room and kitchen and keep a small island. (moving the current over-top cabinets down and adding laminate)
1. Remove back splash tiling and replace with newer style tiles. (about 1.5 x 10 feet)
2. Remove sink, add stainless steel sink and new faucet.
3. Remove laminate counter top and replace with more modern style laminate. (about 4x2 feet and 6x2 feet)
Bathroom:
1. Remove laminate counter top and replace with more modern style laminate. (4x2 feet)
2. Remove sink, add stainless steel sink and new faucet.
3. Remove shower tiles and replace with larger style modern tiles.
Recently purchased a home and considering renovating the Kitchen (approx 12X12) and an Ensuite (approx 8 X 10).
Kitchen Reno would potentially involve wall removal and relocations of plumbing and electrical. Ensuite Reno would potentially involve moving the toilet and converting the bathtub to a shower stall (tile).
Looking for design ideas for both projects.
I would like to replace all the water pipes underneath the sink with new pipes. The pipes are old and wore and random leaks occur.
I also would like to replace the existing laminate countertop with something more stylish and durable. I would like Simplicity or Corian. I also need a new double sink and taps. I would like the countertop and sink to be one piece so that the seams are few and inconspicuous (eg. using a Simplicity sink which creates an uninterrupted countertop that won't catch crumbs or dirt). I need a new backsplash that is a coved backsplash which is a seamless continuation of the countertop material, with a gently curved transition between countertop and backsplash.
If there is any money left or depending how much it would cost, I would also like the floor tiles replaced.
I would like 2 estimates. One estimate for just labour and the second estimate with labour and materials, similar to the materials I have described.
Thanks.
We're looking to remodel the kitchen island of our new home as well as replace the existing backsplash.
What we're looking for:
- Repurpose kitchen island to remove second level, making it all one-level, counter height, with overhang for stools
- Install new white granite counter top to match existing style of black pressed-leather granite
- Rough kitchen island dimensions: 90"x38"
- Redo kitchen backsplash with white subway tile, remove existing wooden backsplash
PLEASE NOTE: We do not take posession of home until June 1st, and are unable to schedule a site visit until then. We are looking for the work to do be as soon as we take posession. Please provide estimates based on photos.
Hello!
I have about 45 inch wall where I would like to install some cupboards for additional storage for the kitchen.Currently in place is a metal rack (see picture). I currently have dark cherry oat (see picture) and would like to match that or maybe something else? Either full pantry or partial with some counter space. If we go with counter top, the outlet would need to be moved up.
Open to suggestions and design options. I have some pictures
In additional, I would like some more lighting over the sink and some drawers (3-4) in one of lower cupboards .
My kitchen needs a facelift to help with the sale of my home.
Nothing fancy, just functional and up-to-date.
The job involves removal and replacement of existing cupboards, countertop, sink, hood fan, vinyl flooring and baseboards, plus painting of walls and ceiling. If budget permits, installation of a backsplash and/or replacement of light fixture above sink.
No changes to electrical configuration required. Only change to plumbing involves moving sink and faucet so they are centred in front of the window (a shift of approx one foot).
Kitchen is a square (approx 12' x 12') with counter and lower cupboards around two walls and wall cupboards around one. Single large window above sink. Existing hood fan vents directly outside.
I have a Direct Buy membership, so materials can be purchased at a discount. I need the work to be completed in order to list my home in mid-March.
Budget: $5,000.
We are looking to start our kitchen remodel which will require removal of bulkheads, new cabinets (IKEA Sekton White but open to suggestions/options), new flooring over ditra, quartz countertop. In addition, the two sidewalls from each side of kitchen will be removed.
Electrical work will include pot lights (approx 8-10), set of pendent ligts, and relocation of existing outlets.
In addition, adjoining space will require new hardwood flooring, removing brick fascia of wood burning fireplace and replacing with stone.
Wall #1: Remove part of a wall (approx 4.5 foot wall) where stove is currently and where, on the other side of the wall (living room/dining room), there is a propane fireplace. We will be wanting to install wood fireplace on another wall in the living room afterwards.
Kitchen Wall #2: Reconfigure one wall of floor cabinets (currently cabinets/counter curve into the kitchen - we want the counter/cabinets on that wall to go straight against the wall and extended by a few feet. On this wall, we would like to install a double sink (currently has only one sink) & we will leave the dishwasher in its present location on that same wall).
Wall #3: This wall has the fridge and some cabinets (approximately 5 foot wall) - to be taken down and fridge and cabinets to be reinstalled a few feet back (behind this wall currently is a pantry space). Once all this work is done, we will have room to install a kitchen island. We are thinking of having a gas range on the island - there is a propane line close by (from Wall #1 where propane fireplace currently is). We are not yet sure where we would install the oven.
We would like to be guided to do as much of the work as possible but would like to work closely with an experienced contractor who could guide us and also do the jobs best left to professionals as we go along. We are hoping to save as much money as we can by doing what we can ourselves, including salvaging and refinishing the current cabinets, possibly building the island ourselves, doing demo work and cleanup, etc.) We are hoping to start this renovation after the Christmas holidays (Jan/Feb 2016).
We are looking to do a kitchen remodel. We plan to paint the cabinets (wood) and reconfigure the island layout. Currently there is a dishwasher and sink in the island which won’t change other than repositioned. Require new tiled backsplash and tiled floor, currently tiled, as well as new quartz countertops. Kitchen is open concept. House is Richcraft Delwood model. Pics are examples of new layout (white cabinets) and size of kitchen . Last pic is current kitchen (wood reddish stained cabinets).
