Hello,
I'd like a quote on a kitchen remodel, bathroom update, and flooring for an 800sqft, 2-bedroom condominium on the island on Montreal near Plamondon metro.
Kitchen remodel: putting a roughly 3'x6' opening in one kitchen wall, new cabinetry, and new countertop for the kitchen. The kitchen sink also needs to be fixed as it is clogged.
Bathroom update: New toilet, new backsplash, and new countertop. The bathroom sink also needs a new p-trap.
Flooring: Carpet in two bedrooms will need to be removed. Tile in the front entrance and hallway will need to be removed. I would like a quote for parquet for about 600sqft, plus restaining of 200sqft of pre-existing parquet. I would also like a quote for 800sqft of engineered laminate flooring to redo the condominium as I am still comparison shopping.
Wall paper removal and painting: there is wallpaper on several walls in the apartment. I would like this removed. I would also like the entire apartment to receive a fresh quote of paint.
Ideally work would start immediately. Please let me know when you would be available to start and what your timeline is for completion.
Thank you.

Our kitchen is 11X13. We have found the company that will do the kitchen cabinets and the installation. We are searching for a team that will...demolish completely, bring down a 5 foot wall, arrange electricity for a range hood and make an exhaust exit on the side brick wall, paint, install tiles floor and backsplash, install 6 spots, and make basic electrical adjustments (bring electricity to an island), install new appliances. The idea is that I will be buying separately the tiles...and the contractor will take care of all the rest. I have already seen some contractors. The project is for the beginning of April. I am ready to decide as we speak.
Hello,
For starters, I need someone who can tell me what are the load bearing walls are.
I would need this service sooner than later (within the next two weeks) so an interior designer can get on with her work. (unless you can give me some design ideas)
Then I will be:
renovating my kitchen,
opening up the kitchen / dining room / maybe livingroom,
changing / building the stairs to the basement
A few points to consider:
I would like to be fully involved in the renos (to learn and save a little $) but need a guy who has more experience than me.
The bulk of the work would be done the 2 last weeks of February. And the first week of march but could start before that.
I would like to meet well before this in order to plan this right, like ordering a kitchen...
What would be the hourly rate or do you work by contract?
If your interested in any of this, let me know.
thanks
Julien
Hello,
We recently moved into an apartment and the cabinet floor underneath the kitchen sink is rotted because of what appears to be a long standing kitchen sink leak.
We are looking for the cost to repair the sink piping, as well as the cost to replace the cabinet floor under the sink.
Thank you,
Erin
Hi,
I have the kitchen backsplash and paint/putty to be redone. The backsplash is a marble material and epoxy. The surface area to be done is about 40 square feet. Existing tiles have to be removed. 2 walls needs to be repaint and possibly the ceiling. We would like to start the renovation as soon as possible.
Thanks
Hello,
We are looking at doing some major renovations on our 1939 duplex.
The job has to do with cement, and supporting structures.
I want to build either a window in the back of the house or a door that goes to the back yard. Ie, we have to cut out the cement foundation. Is this possible and if so how much will it cost?
Also, in the basement, there is a wall, in the middle, that is made of solid concrete. I assume that this is a foundation structure.
My question, can we cut a door way out of this?
Also, the living/dinning room above the garage (cement ceiling), has a sagging floor.
Does that need to be addressed or is that ok?
And
How much / can we build a kitchen in the dinning room?
If this job interests you, come take a look, and give me an estimate.
Thanks
