Need assessment & repair of a wall in our basement. A foot of the corner wall next to ceiling in basement of our townhouse has separated from the ceiling & shifted inward. Need assessment if this is related to water damage as adjacent to outside wall. Have discussed this with Elite Property Management & may need repair of cement crack if leakage is detected.
I am putting a secondary suite into my rental property in Caswell Hill. Once the renovations are complete then the main floor will be my primary residence and the basement will be rented.
It is a 1955 built house with minimal renovations since then. I am looking for a contractor that can either handle the entire project or large pieces of it. Estimate 650 sq ft. Will need detailed quote so that I don't have to reestimate if the project has to be broken into smaller jobs.
Total scope will include egress windows, electrical upgrade, fire/sound barrier in the ceiling and stairwell, doors, flooring, kitchen construction, likely moving one wall to form the closet of the bedroom and finishing of the suite.
I have about a 500 sq foot basement that I want finished with a natural gas fireplace. Bathroom is an option but it is not plummed out, so I'd like quotes with and without. Other than an area for washer/dryer and some storage, I just want the edges of the basement done for a big livingroom. We are in the middle of a 5 plex, so two concret walls and drywall in between condo's. Noise isnt a real problem for insulation, even though it is a 2 yr old Jastec....
I just want my condo to stand out from the other million in the area. Our option when we built was to pretty much have the space cut in half which gave us tooo much storage. This room is meant for an extra living space to entertaine and watch movies on a big tv!!
