Located on the southern end of Vancouver Island, Victoria is the provincial capital of British Columbia. With a population of over 70,000 Victoria is the linchpin of the Greater Victoria Municipality that numbers over 300,000 people. Besides government activity the economic driving force is tourism which see over 3.5 million people visit the city each year by car, plane and cruise ship. It is also the educational hub of the island with a large university and several colleges.
The climate in Victoria is judged the best in Canada with very mild winters and over 2200 sunshine hours. This makes for great weather for new home building and exterior home remodeling as contractors take advantage of the climate and get projects completed quickly.
Because Victoria services such a large area it is home to many large new home building and remodeling companies, many of which travel up the island for new home building and home renovation work.

My master bedroom is on the second floor. I'd like to change 3pc ensuite bathroom to 4pc. The space is quite small to put a tub, so might need to remove the wall and rearrange the other bathroom next to it. I'm also planning to put my laundry washer and dryer beside the washroom. How much would that cost?Budget: Uncertain
I'd like to create an "L" shape counter top. We had a dishwasher put in and we now have an extra cupboard (that matches our existing ones) that I am hoping could be used as the base to help create the shape. Securing it to the floor with an additional counter top/space. The existing countertop is some type of marble material which we do not want to replace. Our hopes are that we can maybe put some type of butcher block (stained to match existing countertop). The L would extend out towards the right and we would lose the cupboard space at the end of the counter as it currently stands, however, we would gain it back with the extra cupboard that gets installed (facing inwards). Alternatively, we could face the cupboards of the "lost" cabinet towards the stairs and actually gain more cupboard space. We are unable to make it longer as there is a staircase and there would be no space.Budget: Uncertain
Built in shelves and cupboards for either side of the fire place in the family room. We have just taken out the wood burning fireplace and will be installing a linear gas fire. We plan to have the TV above the fire, and will need hidden wires from the TV, with speakers each side, room for cable box, dvd player etc.Budget: Uncertain
