Great experience working with them. Friendly, quick, and professional. They were helpful and provided good advice to make our house look amazing!

Overall we were very happy with the work performed. Great price for the quality we received. Communication with James was great and fast! He would even respond after hours and on weekends to any inquiries.

We would be delighted to work for you anytime.
Please fell free to call us for nay needs.
Best Regards,

My husband and I are very grateful for the exceptional job done! From start to finish it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely use this company again for future paint jobs. Staff were knowledgeable, honest and provided helpful feedback for any of the questions we had. Workers were experienced and did a great job. They were conscientious of our home and kept all spaces they worked in clean. They also provided feedback and went out of their way to ensure a professional job was done.
I highly recommend this company.
Anastasia,
Thank you very much for your kind words. I will pass your comments on to our team members; they always appreciate customer feedback like this.
Thank you again for your business, and, please feel free call us at any time if you need any painting or renovations.
Enjoy the summer!
James
Very good service, good communication. Friendly technician. Over all good experience.
Brad, thank you very much for your kind words. Hopefully, we will have an opportunity to service you again!
There’s nothing I can say short of brilliant! James was as professional a guy as you’ll find in this business and his crew were top notch. Originally, I was only going to have my interior painted but they were so good, I had them redo my sofffits, my back deck, refinish my garage and even exterior paint.
James was a true gentlemen and his advice, follow through and customer service were impeccable. I would use his company for everything. They do it all, inside and out!
Frank,
Thank you so much for your kind words and review. I truly wish that every customer was as kind and easy to deal with as you; especially under the circumstances which made the renovations necessary. The entire crew enjoyed working with you, and, we all sincerely hope that the renos and painting helped you get some great tenants in the home.
We would always be delighted to help you with any needs you have down the road.
All the best,
James
Wow, I cannot say enough about Hamilton House Painters and RENO TEAM / OASIS AT HOME - decks, fences and outdoor lifestyle and the exceptional work that they do. We were having our deck refinished with a hot tub. We purchased the hot tub from Jacuzzi, but this company did all of the the interlock, siding, planters, and a bar. This project also included the company contracting a granite company to prepare the bar and seating areas of granite.
Mike and Malcolm, the company’s workmen are so experienced, pleasant, skilled, trustworthy (we even gave them a fob to our home), and very detailed workers. We cannot say “thank you” enough to them as the company representative. James the supervisor was always available 7 days a week to answer any questions or concerns.
The signed contract was explicit in the work that was to be performed. When issues, mistakes (by others) or concerns occurred, they immediately “jumped in” and made the correction even when it was not in the contract and was above our expectations.
I strongly recommend this company for their amazing commitment to having a project completed in a timely and professional way and go “beyond our expectations”.
Ray,
Thank you very much for your kind response. All of us here enjoyed working with you on your project; we would be delighted to work with you again for any new projects in mind! THank you for your business. Regards, James.
I received several quotes for the work I was wanting to have done on my house. I found James to be very thorough and detailed . He gave several suggestions while staying in line with my budget. James gave me a very detailed quote and price break down on what work would be done.
The team that work for James are professional, and easy to deal with. Belinda was especially helpful when it came to me choosing colours for my front step and deck. I was a little unsure of the colour that she was suggesting but in the end decided to trust her suggestion... she kept telling me that it would look great and would stand out... she was right on with her expertise .so many neighbours asked who did my work and commented on how great it looked... such a transformation...
As my start date for the project was approaching I had a great deal of communication with Oscar who works at the store..so easy to talk to and very professional... constantly keeping me updated with time lines affected by the weather.
Jeremy and Carly were my painters...right from the get go they were professional, polite and hard working...they clearly take pride in their work and did a great job painting my front step and back deck. The process/product used on my front step was daich spreadstone...they did a great job!!
Mike and Malcom (Father/Son team) did the installation of the railings in both the front step and back deck... they too were professional, hard working and polite... all materials needed for the job were kept in one area. My house was still easily assessable for me during the project. When the job was completed I was told that all leftover materials would be cleaned up and removed from my property... this was done within 2 days of the work being completed..
I am more than happy with the work that James and his team at Hamilton House Painters did for me. The workmanship, product and professionalism of this company was very good.
I would definitely recommend Hamilton House Painters and would contact them for future work i may need done.
Thank you for a great job!!
Hi Sharon, Thank you very much for your review and kind words. I have passed your review on to all concerned; they all appreciated it very much. It really helps to motivate the troops. You were wonderful to work with, and, we hope to be of service again; please feel free to call us anytime. Enjoy your deck and porch!
James.
Very impressed with the work and professionalism from the team from start to finish. Thanks again for the great work!
Hi Jeremy,
Thank you for the review, and, kind words.
And, yes, I agree with you that the weather this year played a bit of havoc with the schedule. I guess we need to make allowances for "climate change" for next year!
It was a pleasure working with you, and, we welcome you to call us again with anything you need.
Enjoy the new railing system and gates.
All the Best,
James.
Well the job is done and that's really the best thing I can say. Poor communication all around between both James and us and James and his crews.
Simple job of drywalling a ceiling. Initial crew didn't think they were finishing the mudding and taping, although James thought they were, so they did a poor job putting the boards up. They left large gaps against the wall, screws sticking out, screws missing, paper in between joints. Pointed out the large gaps and was told not to worry, the mud would cover it. Resulted in gaps left that were very noticeable even before priming the walls.
Ended up delayed a day waiting for another crew to do the taping. James suggested they come in Saturday but never told the crew that. Then told me I was being unreasonable thinking they could work on a Saturday since his guys need days off and the mud needed longer to dry. Would have understood if he didn't tell me the day before to expect them on Saturday.
Neither crew was prepared to do work above a staircase.
Never showed up on time and no calls to let us know they would be late. One day was an 11am start, showed up at 130. Another was a 10am start, showed up at 230. Over 4 days of work, I spent 8 hours waiting for them to show up.
Initial crew was supposed to cut out a junction box but didn't, which led to the second crew having to find it. Missed twice and had to patch the ceiling. Left the patch with one coat of mud on it, never mentioned it or said they would finish it. Fed up at this point so ended up just fixing it myself.
Left cigarette butts all over driveway and garage which were supposed to be picked up but never were.
It's done and within the timeframe of the contract but the quality and service were not what we expected or were promised.

Edit.
I'm struggling to find any part of your response that is truthful. There were no phone calls to let me know what time people were to show up. None. I contacted you when crews were hours late every time. When I complained that crews had consistently been hours late, you told me to work it out with the crew myself. Here's one email to a crew that was supposed to start at 10am. As you can see there was no update from them until I reached out. https://imgur.com/a/nUAR0YA
The junction box was talked about with your crew at length prior to the boarding crew starting the job. It was then brought up with you when you came by. It was then brought up on the first day of mudding. It was again brought up and the second day. I stood with every one of you and told you what needed to be done. I can actually show you an email from your crew asking me to mark its general location a day before it was cut out. https://imgur.com/a/nUAR0YA So your hour before it was done story really doesn't work out. Along with that, I have an email to you after the first day asking why this wasn't cut out.
There is no recording. My husband carries his work phone in the front pocket of his shirt and he knew how frustrated I was after day one. With that he went into work late so he could be there for you to explain how we were going to fix the hole in my floor, fix the horrible attempt at drywalling up the stairs, fill in the large gaps that were left, and fix the screws left hanging out. (See all the pictures in the album) He was also there to help make the decision on if we should have you continue the job with how poorly day one went. You should ask the crew that did the mudding if they felt the boards were put up well as they were also not impressed with what they had to fix.
Speaking of pictures, I actually did post final pictures. I know it's hard to believe that was the work of experienced drywallers so I can understand how you didn't think that was the final product. The first and fourth pictures are final product.
There was no follow up email. This is the first I've heard from you since paying the final bill, 4 months ago.
Nice touch trying to make yourself out like you were doing us a favour. No one turned down this job, I'm not sure where that came from. Your price was not a discount. I met with many contractors and looked at prices in all of the estimates. You were far from the lowest price. Actually you were the second highest. And before you make more up about me, the final bill was paid in full before the end of day of you sending the invoice.
Yes, we were trying to do most of the work ourselves and really wish we had of just done this one ourselves too. At least then when I look at how poor of a job was done on this ceiling, I would know it was done by an amateur, not someone I paid to do good work.
Tori,
We are all a bit astonished at this review, and, we tried very, very hard to make you happy. You were called every day in advance of the crew's arrival, with updated arrival times, and, I even came out to meet you onsite to review the work after the drywall board was installed. Aside from one or two spots where the guys missed the stud on the first try, everything was within normal tolerances. Your husband recording the conversation from the phone in his pocket was a nice touch (and I note you did not bother to post) but, it convinces me that you were looking for issues from the outset. You made a comment about a junction box being missed; it was not missed. You told the crew not to worry about it as your electrician would take care of it. And, you only brought this to the attention of the mudding and taping crew within the last hour of the job...when we were doing final sanding. I also note you did not post the pictures of the completed job; which would have shown a near-perfect drywall installation, which was, in all respects, ready to paint. It was delivered on-time, and, on-budget, as per our estimate to you, after you (as related to me, had several contractors turn down the job, or, quoted higher prices). We tried to help out what we thought was a nice young couple and family, just starting out, and, on a very, very tight budget - we knew you were trying to do as much of the work as you could on your own. So, we offered a below-rate estimate, to try to help. And, we delivered good service and quality. We are all just disappointed you don't see it that way - as I said, the crews were ASTONISHED to see the review, after they worked so hard. I wrote to you prvately after you posted this review, to ask you to reconsider; you did not respond to me. All we can do is wish you good luck, and, God-speed with the rest of your renovations.
Hamilton House Painters just finished a fence for us. Absolutely love the quality of workmanship and the end result. Could not be happier.
Hi Lorraine,
Thank you very much for your comments and review; it was a pleasure working for you and Dave.
And, we really appreciate the business!
Call us anytime.
