1985 townhouse. Second story has two bedrooms and each with ensuite 3 piece bath. The tub and shower are separate pieces contained in a shared room. I want to fully separate the two. Project includes remove tub and shower, two interior walls. Install new interior wall. Move plumbing. Install tub shower in one and walk in shower in other.
We need a new tub and tile done on our only full bathroom. We have the tiles but not the tub yet. We would like to keep the existing layout as it's functional just dated. Tiles we picked a couple of years ago are 1 foot by 2 feet large, no new faucets yet. We also have tiles for the floor already and even the new toilet and vanity, I would like to do some of the work myself but know that some thing are beyond my ability. Timing is tough as we are a family of 4 so no tub for very long isn't ideal, our other bathroom is a toilet and sink only. If you could do the tub and tile, maybe the floor of the 9x 7 room and then if I move the vanity in maybe do the plumbing to hook up the sinks I think I can paint and install the new toilet.
Thank you for your time,
Graeme
It’s a small job local maple ridge I have a shower in my en-suite and I need to removed all the existing grout because of mould and and on the door glass shower removed the metal on the bottom of the shower and replaced it to have a clean look again hire a local handy man three years ago but not happy with the job.
would like to re-do my bathroom, it's quite small average size bathroom with full bathtub, however I would like to take out the tub and put in a steam shower in it's place that has double or multi shower heads and has seating on both sides facing each other. I am not certain on the finish but I am thinking some kind of tile or slate finish, as well the walls will need to be painted and glass doors to the show will need to be installed. I will also need to put in new flooring and most likely a new sink and bathroom cabinet. At some point I will also be re-doing my kitchen with new flooring, new sinks, countertops and fixtures, put in an island and tile the back splash. Although cost is of the essence at this time so I may have to do one project at a time.
We're looking to renovate the master bath, with the goal being a complete redo with a modest look.
It is 10x10 with a shower stall that is 32"L x 35"W, a large soaker tub, it also has a vanity that is 87". The shower stall has a wall separating it from the tub that is approx. 18" longer than the shower itself.
Ideas that we are looking at are as follows:
1. - Leave the existing shower footprint but replace the basin, tiles & door.
- Enlarge the shower to match the length of the separating wall. So would be approx.
35"Wx50"L
- Enlarge entire shower .... maybe 42"x42", or so.
- any increase in size would result in a plumbing realignment for the shower head. Would probably add a separate hand held shower spray.
2. - remove soaker tub and replace with a modern free standing tub. If possible centred under the window. We believe that the tub drain is in the centre of the tub, but not really sure. If so, moving the drain may not be needed.
3. - replace toilet with a high seat model.
4. - replace vanity with a new double sink vanity, 2 mirrors & different lighting.
5. - replace flooring. Thinking of vinyl planking ... but open to other types.
6. - Minor electrical to accommodate new light fixtures over vanity.
Skills we are looking for are electrical, plumbing, tiling, drywall & carpentry if we move the shower wall.
Things we want to look at for possible cost savings;
- we do the demolition & painting
We are the property owners.
The bathroom in our Pitt lake Cabin needs finishing. We have installed the toilet and the sink, we need someone to install the shower, tile the floor and shower. Its a small bathroom. The cabin has boat access only, from Pitt Bolder its a 15 minute boat ride to the cabin. We would take all the supplies needed and give the contractor a boat ride up there as needed.
thank you
Steve
Small bathroom in townhouse on 2nd floor. 3 piece, sink, toilet & tub. Currently dated 90's brass & glass tub enclosure, tile on walls in tub enclosure, stick on lino over original lino floor, small counter/sink, ugly & large light fixture.
Would like to redo the whole thing, lose the glass enclosure, updated sink/counter/toilet & fixtures. Tile floor. Bathroom is only 5' x 7'3"
Small Main Bathroom approx 5' x 8' -Replace ceramic tile floor with new large ceramic or porcelain tile or linoleum which involves taking off the porkchop counter top, vanity and toilet. Seperate quote for all preceding work plus replace bathtub including taps and shower head and wall tile with new ceramic or porcelain wall tile. 2nd floor of 15 yr old townhouse
I am looking for someone to renovate my mother's bathroom. this would include redoing the tub surround and covering the tub and replacing the toilet. My mother is a senior and needs this done as reasonably as possible. I live in Gibsons but there are family members in Maple Ridge that will be able to meet with you.
We require the tub to be removed; any water damage to be repaired to the wall and floor. Installation of shower surround base (possibly done in tile haven't decided yet); glass doors; new floor; toilet and vanity. This is a small space that has never been renovated before. It is approx 30 years old and it has only ever been painted 2x and new lino once. We are not putting a tub back in; just a shower surround so the drain in the tub needs to be moved to the center of the floor. The wall of the tub also comes into the room a few inches and we would like it to be flush to the other wall if possible. If it financially doable we would like to tile the entire shower and base and floor with a tile base board as well..depending on the cost. Thank you for your time. We would like to start as soon as possible.
1. Remove old bathtub and toilet from small ensuite bathroom (~5 feet wide-7.5 feet long) replacing with modern step-in shower (with sliding door) plus in-shower light, and a "highboy" toilet. Install a roof fan ventilation for this bathroom.
2. Remove old toilet from second bathroom, replacing with a "highboy" toilet.
I have 2 steel bathtubs that I want to replace--one with a new soaker tub, the other with a shower base & shower doors. I need to find someone who can remove the 2 tubs, install the new tub & shower, install new subfloors, and prep/drywall the walls for tiling (the tiling will be done by someone else).
The bathroom that will have the soaker tub is approximately 5' x 11'. The bathroom that will have the shower is approximately 5' x 8'. I have not yet purchased a new tub or shower as I have received conflicting advice as to the size of the current tubs (info has varied between 58.5" to 60"). I hope that whoever can help me out can definitively confirm the size.
I also need to remove the tiled backsplash from my kitchen and have the wall prepped/drywalled for tiling.
There likely will be other smaller jobs (e.g., installing new handrails since I ripped out the old ones!)
The 13-year-old townhouse in central Maple Ridge is currently unoccupied as it undergoes renovations.
I am available Tue to Fri mornings for inspections; otherwise, anytime Sat to Mon.
Here is the scope of work we need done for the bathroom.
Bathroom is located on concrete floor basement. there was a leak in the foundation wall that has been repaired and the majority of the damaged material has been removed. there is one small section of framing to be replaced on one of the walls, about 2' wide and 2' deep forming a corner beside the toilet. the bathroom vanity and sink were all removed carefully and need to be reinstalled, all materials for these are in good shape and are on site.
scope of work:
1. replace damaged section of framing, approximately 2' side by 2' deep, basically a box around the sewage and plumbing pipes going upstairs.
2. new drywall on the outer wall of the bathroom.
3. new drywall on the lower section of the other wall.
4. new bathroom flooring. there are currently some tiles around the bathtub and some vinyl flooring on the rest of the floor, so a finished floor will be required, most likely replacing both of these with a single flooring material.
5. reinstall bathroom vanity and sink. all plumbing was taken apart carefully and all fittings are intact, so this is minimal.
6. finishing work to complete the bathroom including: backsplash behind vanity, baseboards, shower tile or laminate, shower fixtures (existing are intact but if they need to be replaced please let us know).
We require a contract in place for this work, please no 'cash only' contractors as we have dealt with this before and not had good results.
Any contractors providing price should be willing to provide at least 1 or 2 references for work they have done.
Please contact for photos.
We need to have all renovations completed by the second week of october at the latest October 15th.
WE have a 30 yr. old home in which water is leaking into the ceiling from the upstairs bathrooms. We would like to estimate the source of the leaks and repairs to fix the source of the leak. In the process removing existing bathrooms and remodel the 2 bathrooms. We have no idea of costings involved in this type of work and are initially interested is getting some proposals and if within our budget to firm up with interested parties by inspection of the work site . Thanks
We moved into a mobile home that needs a few improvements and upgrades with our bathroom and utility room. The electrical panel needs to be upgraded and moved to another wall. We would like to replace the current electrical water heater to an on-demand heating system to make more room in the bathroom and utility room, as there is wasted space (unused) from the original water heater.
Create a new wall between utility room and the den.
In the bathroom, we need to replace all the plumbing, especially the toilet connection which is leaking under the home. The sub-flooring also needs to be replaced from the leaking toilet and bad installation of bathtub from previous owners. We also want to replace and move the tub and vanity to other locations to create more room in the bathroom .
We need to replace our bathtub and put in a new surround. This is a 60+ year old house with some upgrading (I believe the pipes are still copper). We would be looking at a 2-3 piece surround. The project may include putting in a new toilet and vanity as well.
We are willing to do some of the grunt work ourselves including removing old bathtub and surround. We are not professionals but have limited skills.
I need to have this work done for licensing to approve our childcare facility to open January 2008. (I need this work done in about 2 months)...I need you to view the property within a week if possible, then give me a quote for our business loan approval.
The building has outside concrete walls and inside gyprock walls.
Work to be completed:
-1 outside door installation (through the concrete wall)
-2 large windows installation (through concrete wall)
-install a wrought iron fence ( 60'x96')(fence is pre-bought, not made yet though, so if you need to contact the blacksmith for details/changes, still can)
-install kitchen cupboards, residential dishwasher, sink, taps, 3 other laundry type sinks (prebought, but can still make changes)
-Install 3 toilets (all plumbing needed)
This space is quite small a closed two car garage which was made into two bedrooms. The one bedroom was then made into a bathroom. I would like to take down two existing walls, soundproofing and finishing one wall. Attaching to this wall a doorway fill in. Building. a 14 foot wall to separate bedroom and living room. Taking out two closets and small wall at bathroom. Building a small wall dividing bathroom and kitchenette. Put in bottom cupboards and countertops with sink.
Ensuite is small approx 7x9. Needs to be gutted, Tiled and waterproofed shower stall upto bath tub size, same tile on floors, and walls, new fixtures change heating, change door to a outside sliding barn style door, clear frameless glass on the shower. In photo you will see open shelves at end of shower if possible we want to open up that space to make larger shower or space if possible. Bathroom needs safety grab rails and to be ready for disabilities. Large round window needs drywall repair, paint, new trim, vanity, hopefully 30" wide. Possible some moveing of water pipes. Paint vaulted ceiling master bedroom.
Main bath also small, just needs a soaker tub put in and new tile on walls.
In advance thank you for your time and looking at our project. maybe there will be a match.
