We hired Al from AL-DO-IT in June 2014 to create a legal apartment in our basement. At the time, he told us 3 weeks to get the job done. Over the next few months, we found that he lacked time management skills. Our expectation was that he would work full days in order to keep with suggested time frame. While we were waiting on material or city inspections, he would take other jobs and changes to time lines were never communicated. On one of his last tasks, he stopped by early to pick up the final cheque. Knowing he was yet to complete the job, I still gave him the cheque assuming that if there was a problem, he would fix it. There was an error with his work and when we contacted him, it was essentially ignored. We never heard from him after that. We did go on to hire another contractor who fixed the errors.
