Irene was amazing at helping us decide our color palette. We were looking for heritage colors and couldn't figure it out on our own. She immediately took what we were describing and created a color scheme that was exactly what we wanted.

After buying quite the "fixer upper" home in Coquitlam - Irene helped us pick colours for the exterior of our house. She was filled with great ideas and colour options as well as providing us with recommended information regarding paint brands. We love our house so much more now!

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Irene and Eileen from Design Happens. Irene helped us select paint colors and lighting fixtures for the entire house, and Eileen had all our window treatments replaced with new ones. Both ladies are very professional, knowledgeable, reliable, personable, considerate and good listeners. They were very patient during the selection process and always took time to explain why certain things would or would not work for our situation. The end result has been excellent! The drapes, roller shades and blinds recommended by Eileen have transformed our house. Besides, she found perfect ready-made drapes and had them sewn together instead of going with entirely custom-made drapes, which would be much more expensive. The delivery and installation process was also seamless, despite all the problems with COVID 19 lockdowns.
They also recommended an excellent painter and a great source for lighting fixtures, and we couldn't be happier with both choices. I would definitely recommend Irene and Eileen for any interior design and window treatments projects.

I am so happy I found Irene and Eileen (blinds specialist) to help me get through a difficult de-cluttering first step and then renovation (new paint, carpets, blinds, electrical consult) process. Both ladies are very patient and they never pressured me on my decisions - they were so supportive and they really tried to listen to me and help me figure things out very helpfully.
I would not hesitate to recommend Irene and Eileen for design services. They are a pleasure to work with and they made my renovation into an enjoyable process, instead of a stressful one.
Irene also uses really good trades people and has a good relationship with them. She treats people fairly, has high integrity and ethical standards, is genuine and unpretentious, and she truly cares about her clients and ensuring their satisfaction with projects.

I would certainly highly recommend 'Design Happens'.
The paint colors that were recommended were so fantastic! When doing my in-home consultation, the lighting, size of room and consideration for my own preferences were all addressed!
As for furniture size and placement, the same wonderful consideration was given.
I found Irene to be very professional and warm as well as honest and with up to date knowledge of current trends in design.
Eileen was also very professional and personable!

We were renovating the exterior of our house and Irene helped us pick the colors. She is absolutely amazing. She knew exactly what we wanted and she made a couple trips out to ensure we were still happy with our choices. She is very good at what she does and you just have to trust what she says. I will definitely be using her again for future projects.
