Eddy quoted cheap at $350 and I put it up to $600, asking to include the materials. He also came with a funny requirement to split the payment equally by day…I agreed.

I paid him twice on the first day, 1/3rd of the total, as per the verbal contract. At the end of the first day he demanded more, for the materials. His accomplic, stood by, quiet the whole time. The scene belonged to Eddy. I refused paying more, explaining the verbal contract twice, each time Eddy was asking again “what exactly did we agree upon?”. I realized I was dealing with not a regular person to say the least and said we were done there. Then Eddy uttered a threat to destroy his work for the day (albeit paid!!!), with my family inside the house. Not sure how this situation can escalate, asked how much more he wanted, paid him $200 more to get them to leave.
His tile job was ridiculously unprofessional. I am thankful that he has wasted only 1/3rd of the wall tiles and not yet touched the floor tiles.
