Todd Lavigne and Hasaca Construction did terrible work at well over the costs and tine quoted. I would never recommend him or his company as they will very likely cause you unending headaches and a much longer project than expected. He was to do 4 months of work and took 10. He was supposed to renovate my house for 260k and ended up costing over 520k. Avoid like the plague.
By way of introduction, my name is Angus Matheson. I have been working out of province for several years. I engaged Todd to glass in the balcony of my house. It was a job that I intended to do myself but did not have the time. Todd gave me an estimate. I agreed to his price which, was quite reasonable, Quickly and efficiently he completed the job, on time on target. He kept me updated daily (with photos). I recommend him as the go-to carpenter in the Ottawa area.
We recently had our basement renovated with Hasaca Construction. My wife and I heard about Hasaca through word of mouth after looking for the right team for quite awhile without success. From the first time we met Todd from Hasaca we were impressed with his professionalism, forthright advice, and just the pleasant interactions we had with him. We felt we had found someone we could trust to do the best work possible and we weren't disappointed! After discussing the scope of the project and the options and the cost, we finalized the project design and let Todd take over. The final result was a beautiful new living space that my family was so excited to enjoy. The finishes and attention to detail were evident an we felt like our basement was out of a magazine! We couldn't be happier! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hasaca!
I used Hasaca a few times for help on my residential rental property. While I am fairly handy with most things, there are some projects that I am much more comfortable having an experienced contractor on board for. I had Hasaca do framing and drywall for a new closet that was added to an existing bedroom. They were very skilled at completing the project with a clean finish.
Hasaca also completed demolition and reconstruction of two sets of stairs. I found that Todd with Hasaca, was professional, held himself to a high standard of work and completed the work quickly. Moreover, Hasaca was knowledgeable of the building codes and rules for safety that I wasn't always aware of.
In addition to the work Hasaca did for me, they were also able to provide suggestions for other project I was doing myself, which helped me down the road. I would use Hasaca again for my next project and would recommend their services to others as well.
Thank you for the feedback. We enjoyed those jobs and are happy that we could provide useful tips to help you with your project house. Please do not hesitate to call us again for additional advice on your project.
