Worst plumbing company in the history of plumbing. They will rip you off without a doubt. Do not trust them!!! They do a terrible job and then never return your phone calls when your pipes break a year later.
We have never done business with this person. It is a fictitious review probably submitted by either a disgruntled ex employee or most often by one of our competitors.Unfortunately we cannot control what people write online, even if it is completely false.
We never rip anyone off. Our pricing is fair and competitive, and we always give quotes for approval before we start any jobs. We are certified professionals with the RBQ, CCQ and CMMTQ. We offer and honour our warranty on all services and products. We promptly return calls. Our clients give us referrals and call us back for more work.
Very bad faith. The price was high, they did not do a good job and then refused to take responsibility. On top of all the man on the phone is quite rude.
I am truly sorry that you are disappointed with our service. Firstly, let me say that the original service call was back in early October, and at that time, we passed our rooter and the high pressure machine into all of your drains in order to completely clean them and remove all blockages. We ran water tests to determine that all of the work we did was accomplished and that all drains worked perfectly before leaving. AS far as the price is concerned, when a client calls in for service, prices are quoted and then are either accepted by the client or not. they were accepted because we offer great service at very competitive pricing. However the client called us back almost 3 months later to tell us that a bathroom sink was blocked. It is very unusual for any company to go back for free to do a drain cleaning after such a long period of time , mainly because there could be a multitude of reasons why it could get blocked again. They said that it got blocked right away, yet they only called 3 months later!!! Had they called within a week or 2 after the original job had been done, we would have gladly gone back. She said that they were busy. When this lady called, she was loud, belligerent and did not even give me a chance to respond to anything she said.I even offered her a substantial discount on a service call but she refused, only wanting us to come back for free. I treat everyone with respect and happen to have excellent phone manners and I know how to talk to people respectfully and professionally. Furthermore, we stand behind our work and fully warranty parts and labor, within reasonable limits.
Terrible.
Didn’t even install a special fan that is supposed to go at the bottom of the dishwasher. The guy took the instruction booklet and tossed it aside, saying “I don’t need this” then charged $100 more than I was quoted.
Stay away from this company.
Complete R I P O F F! Do not trust this "company"! It's a scam!
Don't be mislead with their "awards of the year".
They are complete liars. Their own owner personally mislead us into not calling the insurance. He knew that our insurance would not cover this work! He reassured us multiple times that if we call the insurance ONLY after the work have started, the insurance would have no choice but to cover us which was a complete lie. Even the prices are too high for the work. Other companies offer much less for a bigger work.
Not only that they didn't put any gravel after their excavation but they also completely destroyed our stairs which they promised to not damage and to restore since it was all "covered" as he promised us.
The contract even mentions that the oral contract (which was given by the owner) must be followed.
Not only they didn't do their work as described (to let the ground settle), they later blatantly said that they completed their work 100% and that we must pay for the rest (the work that wasn't even started!)
Now we were forced to find another company to fix their mess that they created and pay extra 9200$ approximately!
Again, do not trust them at all cost!
Would not use them again.
Showed 1 day earlier than appointment and took us by surprise. Rough around the edges kind of guy. Installed the dishwasher but wasn't able to get it to fit completely under the counter blaming the junction box. Called back the electrician to move the junction box and found out that the flexible plumbing that was used by the plumber was so long that it bunched up which prevented the dishwasher from fitting fully. The electrician actually fixed the plumber's issue for us ! Also, the plumber when moving the dishwasher, which was set on a protective carpet, ended up scratching up our hard wood floor. Left message with monsieurdrain to discuss and never heard back.
Overpriced for what was done. Work done by a Jobber not a true proud professional.
We bought a new house. 3 weeks later a mini tornado overwhelmed the city sewers which backflowed into many houses. An inadequate and unmaintained sewer backflow valve in our new home created a disastrous situation: approximately 2,000 litres of sewage flowed into our basement through the toilet and bathtub.
We called Mr Drain for help. Howard came to see us immediately, he took charge of the situation, made arrangements to have the defective undersized valve replaced immediately with the appropriate valve. He spent a great deal of time talking to us, reassuring us, calming us. After this horrible ordeal we felt like there was light at the end of our dark tunnel. His men showed up to do the work on time. They were all courteous and extremely polite. They jackhammered the basement floor and made a huge (but unavoidable) mess. They cleaned up everything thoroughly before they left. They showed what they did, what they installed, how it worked, they answered all questions. Tasso was calm and reassuring. Howard came to oversee the job which had been initially estimated to take 2 hours. But the retrofit installation was problematic due to the cramped space (inside a closet) and insufficient sewer pipe. They had to jackhammer some more flooring. It was a long hard job in a very cramped space. The job got done, the premises were left unbelievably clean, we just had to pass a wet mop. I paid my invoice, there was no additional fee for all the extra work they had to do. I was speechless. Howard is reassuring, his years of experience in his business are comforting, he gave us advice on how to deal with the lawyers and offered to come to court with us – if it ever got that far. These are professionals. It was an amazing stroke of luck that they were the first to answer our panicked call for help. I am and will forever be a loyal customer. Thank you. A huge thank you from the heart to all of you.
Here is a short 1 minute video clip taken just before the peak of the disaster when things got really ugly:

Oh God where should I begin. This company is a total disaster, so don't fall for their consumer choice award narrative. It's all BS. And don't trust the testimonials on their website, that's a number one marketing strategy to trap gullible clients like myself. Now having experienced the service myself and after spending over thousands of dollars for a total mess and unfinished job that took over a year including follow ups, I had to finally resort to another plumbing company that took care of the business once and for all in just two visits. And of course that meant dishing out additional few thousand dollars to fix the mess Mr. Darin has left behind and for rectifying the original issue. With "Mr. Drain" I was so disappointed and felt cheated to say the least but I was left sort of helpless having paid them already. So, I'm warning all of you who are considering taking their service to be cautious and if possible try to avoid inviting these bunch of unprofessional apprentices to fix your problem. And not only these boys are all related but they are loud and obnoxious, they curse each other all day long in their native language, and are lazy as hell taking ten minutes cigarette break for every half an hour of work. If you don't believe me, do me a favor by asking for their licences if you decide to take their service, none of them has one except few senior plumbers who are mostly strategically distributed around the city busy starting another job. All in all, this company provides the most horrible service I've ever seen in my life and this group of unprofessional apprentice, with zero work ethics, lazy, out of shape and above all sans skills necessary to fix your plumbing issues is not recommendable to anyone. So please make a wise choice if you want to save your hair - if you've any.
I call MONSIEUR Drain at 930 Saturday night and two guys showed up within an hour of me calling. I had almost two feet of water in my basement. Maxim and TASSO went to work quickly to clear my drain. Water went down within 10 min. Then they did a camera inspection and it showed that my drain was broken and full of roots. So I signed a deal for them to change it on Monday. They showed up at 730am as promised and had the job done by the end of the day. They did a great job and I was supper happy with the way they took care of my problem. As a side note I read the 3 rewiews on this site and was really shocked by what people said about MONSIEUR drain. I did not feel
That way at all about this company and I would recommend them for any of your plumbing needs. Five star guys keep up the good work.

Do not call these people for anything. They lied the whole time about the extent of the job they were doing. They charged extra for things that were way overpriced and they used the absolute cheapest materials they could find. They didn't even finish the entire job, I had to do some of the work for them and provide materials that they didn't have. They were slow and took 3 days longer than they told me. They were rarely on time, in fact they were 3 hours late on the first day and I was the first job of that day. And the job isn't done so I will have to hire someone else to finish it. They lied to me and ripped me off. Don't ever trust them and do not call them for anything.
Garbage of a company. Liers and cheats. They charge an arm and a leg and they pretend they are doing the job and when they did nothing at all. They came to me charged me 6 bills said the problem was fixed and yesterday the same problem occurred. They tell me it will cost me more because it seems to be a more serious problem. Which they caused themselves. Rip off will never deal with them again
