Our bathroom floor, vanity and baseboards all had to be ripped out and completely replaced due to a seal leak on an expensive new toilet we had installed 15 months before by a "supposed" reputable chain company.

Paul is great! He is reliable, honest and excellent at his job! We were looking to get our kitchen redone on a cost friendly budget with the intention to possible sell in the future. We had a budget in mind and he stuck to it. Paul provided us with his honest opinions regarding material/supplies and costs associated. His knowledge and expertise were helpful and made it less stressful. He provided us with places to visit for floorings, tiles and countertops. Paul can be reached easily. He responds to questions within minutes to hours and 7 days a week. This was comforting. I would highly recommend Paul for any kind of home renovations. He sticks to his word and works to perfection.

This was a project that evolved from replacing a shed with a stone patio to replacing the shed and existing deck with a new properly-built and enlarged deck. We’re pretty sure one of the previous owners of our home was a do-it-yourselfer that had more time on his hands than know how. As Paul discovered in demolishing the shed, it was poorly constructed using bits and pieces of scrap wood. The tear down was a nightmare. Once gone, Paul was able to have a closer look at the adjacent deck and pointed out the main structure had issues. At most we might get two more years out of it. Paul was super honest and gave us options, leading us to decide to demolish all, scrap the patio plan and build a brand new deck.

Luckily, Paul was able to start immediately. We discussed design, size and budget. He provided a printed layout of what the deck would look like, gave us options for materials and helped us choose the best in order to provide a maintenance free deck that would last. Paul explained every step of the construction, all of which he skillfully completed himself. He is a stickler for detail who takes time to build it right the first time. He was always willing to answer any questions we had and checked in to make sure no detail was left in question. Despite inclement weather and challenges that were presented thanks to the previous owner, Paul managed to complete the project so that we are enjoying this summer on our new outdoor space. Paul also removed patio stones that surrounded the old shed and sodded the area. The transformation of the back of our home is incredible!

Having seen Paul’s work at the Bell Homestead National Historic Site, I had absolutely no qualms about having him work on our home. We already have a list of future projects for him!
