I have used Penta numerous times on numerous job sites. They are always on time and complete clean and proper work.
Thanks Curtis, look forward to helping on your next project.
I have used Penta Protective Coatings on 3 projects over the past 2 years to apply closed cell spray foam insulation in 2 airplane hangars and a crawl space in our cabin. Their price was fair and competitive with no extra cost added at the end. Rob and Stu who were on all 3 jobs were on time, did really great work and were very easy to work with. They never complained about working high on scaffolding or in the tight confines of the crawl space.
They took pride in doing a good job which is hard to find these days. I would recommend using Penta to anyone for this type of work.
Excellent service! Installer knowledgeable, friendly. Work was done efficiently. Office followed up. Very pleased with the job. Highly recommend them!
Thanks for the nice review Karen!
Penta Spray Foam Systems did great work. I had no reservations passing on a favorable reference.
I’m very impressed with the product. I will be contacting you when I reno my master bedroom and on suit as I know the product will make those spaces more livable.
My family and I are so impressed with how much more liveable our basement is after the application of the spray foam.
Thank you Hal. Look forward to working on your next project.
We have used Penta on two jobs and have been very happy with the work of Rob and Ryan. Their attention to detail was very good and they took precautions to make sure that our personal items and property were protected and undamaged by the process. Would recommend Penta highly and will no doubt use them again. I am friends with a great general contractor and he uses Penta all the time and I am so glad he recommended them to me, so I am happy I get to recommend them to you.
thanks Arlie, have a good holiday with family!
Just a note to say thanks for the service.
Rob was outstanding both from his work ethic and professionalism.
I would highly recommend your firm and Rob for any similar work.
If you ever need a reference please do not hesitate to use me.
Also one of my neighbors may be interested in using your firm.
Hi Ron thanks for the nice comments. Any referrals are of course greatly appreciated!
Whole project went very well.
Rob and Stu were pleasant to work with and seemed really careful about not wanting any overspray insulation on my hangar or any of the adjacent hangers while they were working on the door.
They were very thoughtful and thorough in masking walls and ceiling and also when doing the door.
The scaffolding and hoarding in of the area having insulation applied to was well thought out and they did a great job of making sure there was no drift of spray outside of the very confined and hot area they had to work in.
They never complained about anything and just went ahead and did the job.
When the job was completed they cleaned up all the plastic and masking tape and any bits of spray foam they trimmed off, put it all into plastic bags and swept the floor up nicely, not many contractors seem to do that nowadays so that was nice to see.
When I thanked Rob and Stu they said it was clean when they arrived and that they made a mess so it was on them to clean up afterwards, I think they left the hangar cleaner than when they arrived to start the job.
Watching Rob apply the spray foam was like watching an artist at work.
He had a system worked out and did a great job, took his time to make sure he had the proper coverage.
He made sure to not rush applying the second coat by letting the first coat cool off properly before applying more material.
I showed a video I took of Rob working and showed it to a couple of people and the first thing they said was you could tell he cared about the work he was doing.
all in all I was very happy the the job and working with Rob and Stu.
When I build the next project I will definitely be working with your company to get the insulating done.
We hired Penta Spray Foam on a recommendation from a friend who had some work done from them and were more than pleased. We needed our basement spray foamed and we were more than pleased with the results. They were on time, finished the job and there was no mess. The cost came in within our budget and there were no additional charges. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing spray foam done.
I would not recommended Penta to anyone, they installed spray foam incorrectly and smelled like fish for one year and three months, not sure if that was a health risk, had to fight with joe wedge for one year and three months before it was resolved and that was because I had to get cuffca organization involved. I had very little support from joe wedge during this ordeal, I had all spray foam removed and penta damaged electrical wiring , I had spray foam dust everywhere in the house, I had to now get estimates myself for damages that they did, I also had to remove some of the foam myself because they would not remove it, they just wanted to cover it, I will never use them again and tell all my friends not to use them as well. I Just want to add to the respond that the penta coatings posted, I want to be very clear that I had to fight with them to get the problem rectified, even now they still don’t feel that they did anything wrong, there wrong doing cause me grief for almost 1 and a half years, don’t buy there bull, Again I would not recommend them ,
There was indeed a problem with this job but this review contains some factual errors that we feel should be noted.
The project was done on November 15/2013. There was an issue with the applied foam that resulted in an slight odor that did not dissipate. We engaged the manufacturer who sent a technical representative to investigate what went wrong and how to resolve the issue. By the end of January 2014 we had removed all the foam from the basement but Arthur was not happy with the very slight residue that remained. Important to note that at this point there was no noticeable odor remaining.
it is incorrect to state that it smelled like fish for one year and three months as it was all removed within a month of the decision on how to handle the odor problem.
There were absolutely no health or safety issues related to the odor.
At this point we asked the regional director from CUFCA to visit the site and he commented that in fact the foam had been properly remediated and the new foam could be reinstalled.
Arthur was not happy with that.
A certified inspector for CUFCA (independant 3rd party inspection agency) was engaged to inspect the job further. His comments were that "areas of the clean up are very well done" and that "the substrate can be re-sprayed without issue".
Arthur was not happy with this response either.
As a result of the removal process some of the jacket on the Loomex wiring was damaged and the repairs were covered by our insurance.
We did not avoid or run away from this problem. We removed the foam and did reinstall the foam as per our agreement.
I feel that we handled the problem in a responsible and professional manner and it is unfortunate that Arthur was not happy with the process.
