Our initial experience with PlanIt was wonderful; the quoting, contract signing, planning, designing, went well beyond our expectations. Everyone was so thorough.
Once development began, however, things started to fall through the cracks. Our initial meeting with the original coordinator went well. Super easy going individual, easy to talk to, answered all our questions and emails promptly. But then we started hearing excuses and seeing delays. A couple weeks went by with no work being done, no trades people coming to our place, so we started asking questions.
Our site manager was Beau and when our concerns were brought up, he was on top of it. We got a new coordinator assigned to our project, Joe Parker, who was GREAT! Once Joe took over, he did all that he could to get our project back on schedule. Unfortunately, due to the setback with the original coordinator (who is not with PlanIt anymore), it was difficult for our project to be completed anywhere close to our original completion date.
It took an additional month to get our basement completed. Frustrations on both our end and Joe's end, because some of the trades that PlanIt contracted out to were not as reliable as we all would have liked.
But during the 2 months when Joe stepped in, he was on point with keeping us up to date and always answered his phone/texts/emails - as did Beau! So despite scheduling issues, I was thoroughly happy with the customer service provided to us. Joe was meticulous and always aimed for the best quality work. I would consider using PlanIt again and have mentioned them to a few colleagues and friends already.
