gotta put up some sidding for my country home looking at one of the folowing products james hardie cement fiber sidding , canexal, maibec wood sidding or fraser wood sidding does anybody have any info on them pros or cons

They are all great products- much pricier than vinyl- but will require quite a but of maintenance down the road. Expect the installation to be double or more price/and time for labour than vinyl also. I'm not against these products, but 10 years from now I can power wash my vinyl siding in half a day as opposed to 3-4 days scraping, re- staining my wood or concrete products. Whatever you choose- read the warranty info very closely on the wood products- they may claim 20 years, but depending on species/finish chosen, the warranties can be somewhat limited.
