Rough Cost to Insert 2 Deck Posts

I posted a job here to have two deck posts set in 4 feet of concrete. I would do the work myself by renting an auger ($60), buying the post cement ($50) and the 4x4x8' posts ($16) however I just don't have the time. I received two estimates ranging from $700 to $900...why so much? If it's really going to cost me this much I'll make the time to do it myself.

BTW, this forum has been a wonderful and I've been telling everyone about this site. Thanks to everyone that has responded to my other posts.

We use a service provided by post hole diggers. You can google a number of service providers in this regard. Given you have only two holes there is a minimum charge, which is still less than whay you have outlined
