Hello everyone,

I am looking for a quote to cover a more or less rectangular area currently with grass with a deck platform of 3000 square feet (yes 3 thousand). There will be no need for railing and maybe just 1 step.

What is the cost for square footage someone here will charge? The Job is in Toronto and we are a General Contracting company and looking for a decent quote considering the total square footage.

There will be 2 pergolas to be built of 16X10.

Thank you in advance for the responses and I look forward to your response. The work is to start in the next 2 weeks.

$80-$135,000 depending on wood or composite by a reputable and licensed Contractor & done right as per: you should use pilings instead of piers as at that span you will most definitely see waves after 1st year if not. You must also allow extra cost for ground cloth and gravel to prevent weed through the deck

It should cost approximately $150K to 175k for a well reputable company to complete this project efficiently using the right materials in the right way that can last throughout the passage of time.

This includes protection for both joist, footings at the right depth as well as ground grading and coverage (commercialfabrick and 3/4 gravel. I am sure you have drawings with all the details for that size deck which will make the cost subjective to change.

Afternoon

The going rate for a pressure treated deck is 55$ a square foot no railings no stairs. But with a size like that Im sure you could get a better deal. Have you considered another approach? Perhaps pouring a concrete slab?

Hope that helps you.
