Cost to get 1000 sq ft flooring sanded, stained and coated?

Hello there sir,

It all depends on the condition of your current floor. I'm in the business since 11 years old I'm now 46 and I can tell you there many price ranges depending on the quality of work provided. I've seen people do it for 1.50 sq/ft that have poor quality and finishing. I've seen prices at 5.00 sq/ft. Where you can tell the difference. From water to wine. It all depends on the experience and methods of finishing. But a floor like that it can go from 3.000 to 5.000, For excepcional quality and finish. But then again you can find many doing it for 2.000 to 3.000 and it might look good to the customer. Not saying between those lines it won't be a good job but be prepared in worst case scenario. Most people can install a floor but it takes years and years of experience to know how to sand properly and get it done to perfection... Don't forget there are many finishing materials out there for the job to get done. But it's like buying a Cavalier or a Ferrari. You get what you pay for. So if it makes it easier Mercedes is in the middle. All in between!
