Hi - I have been a customer of this website for some time now. I still have a project in mind for my home (a Sunroom/Addition/Extension) here in Chilliwack. I posted earlier this year and was very pleased with my responses and visits (Abode Con/Rosedale..etc) 7 in all. Some were, let's say, 'cowboys' but most were good and I still have 4 serious contenders. Due to unforeseen circumstances and some family resistance. I have been unable to follow up on my estimates.
I would just like to say tho those contactors who know me and visited me here in Chilliwack - thank you. I will be re-visiting this exercise in 3-6 months. As for the HandyCanadian website - please don't remove me yet, even though I have been inactive. I have to convince my wife that spending $30-35k on our house improvement is justifiable in the present economic climate, whilst our house is already one of the most expensive on our street. So our chances of getting a return on our investment, of say 40-80% , is questionable. This is just to give you all a 'customers perspective' to spending for contracts and why, sometimes the money and effort required to get permits, etc. can be a showstopper! We have savings but are semi-retired and low income - so the cash we hold is precious to us for our retirement fund!
Thanks again - Ken Maltby
