Digital (NEST brand) thermostat
I am a new user of the digital thermostat. Say if I were to set the required reading to 19, why does the thermostat show 18, 1,9 20.5, 19, 18, 20 at varying times 24/7 (to indicate the TRUE temperature in the house)?
Is it true that the temperature in the house will never remain at 19 24/7? Does the temperature fluctuates during the day and night even when the furnace/thermostat are on?

There could be a few factors as to why your house doesnt stay at 19. Which model of Nest thermostat do you have? If you have the learning model, then the thermostat may have adjusted the scheduled temperature for you, so you may want to check that. Also, your house can definitely be hotter than the set temperature based on the weather. If its not too cold outside and the sun is shining in through the window then your house may heat up warmer than the set temperature.
