Not sure if this poses any issues or is normal however there's one vent in the main floor bathroom that when the basement light is on you can see light shining thru the vent
Is this because the light in the basement is close to the duct work? Don't see this in any of the other vents in the home.
no issue., the hole in subfloor for vent is a little too big or dust boot has fallen out a bit. If a register is installed on top you should not see any light so sounds pretty sloppy work.
Can see the light shining thru even with a Register on. Is it worth asking them to come fix?
Looking at picture it looks like the light is inside the pipe?...it might be partially disconnected on the pipe?...it looks like it needs to be fixed. Not difficult
it appears to show that the pipe is disconnected. the vent boot may just line up with a pot light or if the ceiling below is open it is catching the surrounding light. but, disconnected non the less.
It appears connected however they used a clear flex hose, is that ok? So it appears to be the light close by in the basement shining up?
Best to change the clear pipe to a metal one, it can be purchased at your local hardware, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. ask personnel in store what rating of pipe should be used on home heating. I don't believe the clear is up to code.
