In Quebec, is it obligatory to have a tag on a gas furnace replacement?

My friend help me replace my furnace at home, he has gas license, but can't tag the job.
Is it mandatory in Quebec to tag it even if I'm replacing the furnace? Will it affect my insurance in case of and accident?

It is mandatory in most provinces but through your gas company such as atco gas. And no it shouldn't affect it but depends if you pulled a permit or not.
