Minimum required height between dwelling space floor and attached garage floor?

I am designing a barrier free home with an attached garage. What is the minimum required height differential between the dwelling space floor and the attached garage floor? Do you know where this height is referenced?

you do not want it flush with a garage floor for obvious reasons

There is no height differential required between adjacent floors of the garage and dwelling, only a door with weather-stripping and self-closer to act as a gas barrier.
