Need ideas for blogs/articles

Hello, I am one of the developers responsible for the design, development and maintenance of a Leisure Products web site (whose name shall remain anonymous?). Part of my responsibility is making sure we build link backs, write quality content and increase our exposure on the Internet.

What I would like to hear from people who are actually in the process of home improvement, what type of articles, blog entries they would like to read?

As a developer, my interest lies mostly in software, not home design, decor, etc.

I'm hoping you all can give me some ideas so I get compile a list of them and present them to my boss and request she gets someone more involved with screen rooms, etc to sit down and write some quality content.
