I have a bungalo style home and an attached garage to it, simple roof (5/12), no valleys and one constant ridge line and about 3,000 sq/f. Looking to remove old asphalt shingles and install new 30 years asphalt shingles. What should I expect regarding cost?

Thanks

I'm not sure whether it is 3000ft of floor space or 3000ft of roof deck. You could count on an average of $300/sq of roof deck which would run roughly 9k if you have 3000 ft of roof deck.

Hello giving approximate estimate on the roof is very difficult! You get a variety of prices even when Roofer s show up and actually measure the roof!

As the last person that responded that price was a fair good estimate! ( You will get higher prices and lower prices) The price is not as important as the quality of workmanship.

Just remember when you get prices you got to compare all the details! The price she quoted sounds reasonable to me with all the components with a basic Shingle! The basic shingles may be fine depends on your situation with the wind and the weather. Also how long you plan on staying in the house. There is also shingles that have rubber mixed in with the asphalt and those shingles stand up to the hail and wind a lot better than the basic shingles . I would recommend you getting several prices When you re deciding to do the job.
