If you are applying vinyl siding over stucco, do you need to use furring strips?

Hi Deborah,

Not necessarily, use 2" roofing nails and nail in the valleys.......however, without furring strips, getting nice trim lines will be tough....that, and you're going to mash up your nail holding fingers......but hey, who doesn't love brand new finger nails?

I prefer removing the stucco but the very least can do is install furring strips.
