Every time we turn on the hot water tap in the bathroom there is continuing banging, also when hot water goes down the drain.

What can be done about this and who do you call?

Hi Joe!

That is just the pipes are loose. You may be able to do the repair yourself if you can get a clamp onto all pipes feeding your sink. If not a handyman or plumber can help you out.

Hope that helps you.

This may also be caused by an airlock in the pipe, it some time happens when air get trapped in the line because you recently had the water off or turned a faucet on that is rarely used.

To get rid of the air lock open ever tap in the house starting with the furthest one fron you main water shut of, once they are all on thurn them off starting with the one closes to the water main see if this helps.

If you are still stuck you may have to open a wall to see if a bracket has come loose.

Good Luck
